extreme_tooth_decay December 24, 2008 Share December 24, 2008 Well, I recently broke down my 125. It had a very deep sand bed, and I cleaned all the sand well (that was not fun). The following is a list and pictures of what I found under the sand bed (not on top of it). I didn't know any of this stuff was there. On the twelfth day of Christmas, my sand bed gave to me..... 12 empty pointy shells, 11 astrea shells, 10 bristle worms a stingin', 9 dozen tiny rocks, 8 large rubble rocks, 7 dozen Ilyanassa shells, 6 dozen turbos, FIVE SNAIL TRAP DOORS, 4 suction cups, 3 branch rocks, 2 lonely strainers, and a tube worm with no worm....... Happy Holidays WAMAS. tim Some of those 6 dozen turbos: 11 astrea shells: 12 pointy shells (one of them wasn't pointy enough to make the cut) 5 SNAIL TRAP DOORS.... 2 of the suction cups the other 2 the empty tube worm

extreme_tooth_decay December 25, 2008 Author Share December 25, 2008 (edited) How long had the tank been up and running?? bob 3 or 4 years I think. Hard to recall. I had another one up before this. It's possible I transferred some of the stuff from the old tank and didn't know it. Every time I pulled out a strainer or tee fitting or some such, I could just sit there and think, "What!?" I had about 300 lbs of southdown in there. Lots of hiding places for stuff. Lots of sand moving gobies over the years, too. heh edit: ha! I discovered another WAMAS auto-replacement (not h-e-double hockey sticks this time though) Edited December 25, 2008 by extreme_tooth_decay
