  1. @jason the filter freak Months later I finally see this. Better late then never! I ended up breaking it down (my 55 and 10 as well). I still have the tank and light, just haven't been doing saltwater things lately. I think about giving it another go sometimes though. If I do, it will probably be something small again. Definitely like the pico tanks for their simplicity.
  2. Tank is sold. Almost all my equipment is gone. Just trying to get rid of a red sea wavemaster wavemaker. If interested, make me an offer. If not, this is capsfan signing out.
  3. 85 bucks for everything. The fish, the tank, the lights... everything. I'd like to see it go to someone who knows what they're doing, so I'm trying to get a a WAMAS person to take it before someone from craigslist. Anyone?
  4. Yes indeed that is correct. Egg crate with rocks and pond foam covered with silicone and sand. And thanks! No bites yet. I'm open to offers as I need to get it moved!
  5. Still trying to find a home for this tank and the fish. Need to find someone in the next month. $100 for everything! I'm open to offers on the fish if you want them alone too
  6. Hello all, it's been a while... Up for sale is my 10 gallon tank with handmade foam/rock background wall. I am getting out of the hobby for a while. Tank has something like 8 lbs of liverock and a pound or two of live sand. I put the rock wall at an angle in one of the corners in order to conceal a powerhead and heater. Tank comes with a powerhead, old school heater, HOB filter, and an 18" two bulb t5ho light fixture (could use new bulbs). Asking $130. There are two black oscellaris clowns in there. Male and female, regular and misbar respectively. $40 for the pair on their own or free with the tank. Here is a link to my original build thread where you can find more photos... http://www.wamas.org/forums/topic/31434-capsfans-10-gallon-reef-thread/page-2 And before everyone pounces on me for no longer having member status.....
  7. Going to be getting rid of this tank, and thus, my pair of black ocellaris clownfish. 40 bucks for the pair if anyone is interested.
  8. Also if anyone is in the market for a pair of ocellaris, I need to get mine out of the 55 so I can sell it. They've mated and laid eggs in the past.
  9. Switched the black clowns into the tank yesterday. Seem to be doing well. Need to find an actinic bulb for the fixture though. The light is really white.
  10. It's a little short, so I'm going to have to rig something up to make it work.
  11. Hello again, WAMAS. I suppose it's time for an update. Didn't realize this thing was sitting for 3.5 years... Much has changed. I no longer have my 2.5 gallon pico set up, and I'm preparing to get rid of my main 55 gallon tank. This 10 gallon is now going to be my only saltwater tank. I didn't really keep it going after the previous updates. Instead, I'm starting it now. Filled it up a couple days ago, stuck some liverock in, and bought a few hermits today. It'll be interesting to see where it goes... FTS Hermit Rockwork
  12. Welp, after a few years of neglect, I finally broke the tank down. Probably going to break down/get rid of my 55 also and keep a few things in the 10. I may try the 2.5 concept again in the future, but with a few refinements. We'll just have to wait and see...
  13. You could just make your own. I made a 2.5 gallon all in one that worked very nicely. Kept small corals, some sexy shrimp, and a really small fish. People also do the same thing with 5.5's. <br />
  14. Yeah, I've been really busy with school and whatnot. My tanks are a bit ugly right now. I have to get them back up to par before I update as to not embarass myself.
  15. Dan, Your tank is still one of my favorites. It's really diverse, interesting, and is a pleasure to look at.

  20. We got around 18". It's going to be a heck of a time getting our abnormally large driveway shoveled.
  21. That's pretty cool. I'm just too lazy to do it.
