dandy7200 June 8, 2007 June 8, 2007 We can call this my 10 month update since that is when the first corals hit the water 10 months ago: Today, and everything in this tank was from a frag, I counted 64 different corals in the tank as of today :D
Connor June 8, 2007 June 8, 2007 looks great i cant believe all that coral came from frags and that they grew that fast looks great i cant believe all that coral came from frags and that they grew that fast
copps June 8, 2007 June 8, 2007 Looks great Dan, but what a horrible choice in species of fish... You're crazy! (I mean that as a reefer's compliment of course) John
tygger June 8, 2007 June 8, 2007 Good job Dan. Love the look... That's some impressive growth going on in there!
lanman June 8, 2007 June 8, 2007 Dan! Perfect timing - that tank looks GREAT! Did seeing my new tank the other night inspire you to show me what mine MIGHT look like in 10 months?? I love it! Here is my 58-gallon tank at zero months (in a sense - a lot of this stuff came from my 3-month-old 45-gallon tank). Some of my frags are probably a lot bigger to start with (like the Tenuis colony from BRK, and the orange monti digi that came from someone else's tank, and the pink/puple palyzoa's, and the pink chalice). You set a nice goal for my first year! And two frags from you are in there, also. bob
bigJPDC June 8, 2007 June 8, 2007 unreal Dan - looks awesome. So that's what those blue eyed cardinals look like? Sweet. jp
jason the filter freak June 8, 2007 June 8, 2007 You're craftsman ship and reffermanship as always are a step above the rest and outstanding
jamesbuf June 9, 2007 June 9, 2007 Simply amazing. What do you use for flow? That is a wavysea in the back correct? If it is, how much are you pumping through it? Also, do you have a trick for preventing detritus from building up behind the rockwork? Aquascaping the rockwork right against the back fo the tank is a concern of mine once I setup my 92 corner. Thanks for any advice you can offer.
fry_school101 June 9, 2007 June 9, 2007 Nice! good work! You almost got me in trouble at work today for staring at the pics and not getting anything done!
johnnybv June 9, 2007 June 9, 2007 nice "bicolor" angels dan. they were an excellent choice took the words right out of my mouth, very nice bi-colors....lol
dandy7200 June 9, 2007 Author June 9, 2007 Thanks everyone James, closed loop outlets behind the main rock structure are key for this tank, you need to swing by here one day. Copps, this is your fault, I hate you :P JP, great fish, the male is brooding every 2 weeks like clockwork, make great angel food for the "bi-colors" Johnny, Justin, no comment LOL Bob, I have no doubt you will be there in 10 months, your tank is awesome and it is simply unbelievable to me that you have only been in the hobby such a short time.
Guest Bemmer June 9, 2007 June 9, 2007 Dan, Great tank. You must be using some nice equipment to support that tank.
jamesbuf June 9, 2007 June 9, 2007 Looks like those corals might be outgrowing that tank soon. Looks like you might need an upgrade soon................
jason the filter freak June 29, 2007 June 29, 2007 Dan I can't seem to find the link back to the original build thread, can you post it. Also bump for an awesome tank.
jamal June 29, 2007 June 29, 2007 your tank is ok but you got a ways to go before you get all of this beautiful hair algae growth like mine
dandy7200 June 29, 2007 Author June 29, 2007 WAIT DAN... wheres the link man? :( Thanks Jason http://www.wamas.org/forums/index.php?show...corner&st=0
