Hi..... on christmas 2007 i set my daughter up the 12 gallon aquapod.......i am running the foam block in the first chamber....then my heater is in the next chamber...then my bag of chemi-pure, which i replace every 2months or so....thats it.....no protein skimmer.....i have yet to see any red slime and or hair algae.....WC's of 2 (+ or - .5 gallon) gallons every 2 weeks. I recently switched from IO to seachem's reef salt......due to my tanks continuous low ph values.....and after trying all other remdies etc etc etc....i switched aNd i do seem to have higher values now.....i started slowly 1 gallon at a time....and nothing has been hurt ...... Bryan

I once had red slime in my 20 gallon.........i fought it for @ 3 weeks....then finally added red slime remover by ultralife.....it made my slime die in 3 days and it hasnt shown up in again in 4 years.....just some fyi the tank was only a FOWLR at the time.....i noticed no ill effects...to my pod population or my corraline algae growth....it did lighten up a bit in color though. Where does your slime tend to grow? saND or rocks or both? Bryan

I have the 9 watt perch light growing chaeto in a old skilter filter....and its growing really fast.

As for now i guess my two favorite stores are in manassas....."the cozy clownfish" and BRK.

Guys, I hate to say it....but i visit this place @ 2-3 times a month...originally to try and get them organized w/ WAMAS....but.....no luck.....this place has had a big amount of loss in the past..due to poor husbandry etc....it does kinda remind me of small scale rooozens....they did get all the livestock from a place in CA. called fishheads? i think?. **on a side note its a bit better than MARU's (but is that saying much?, i dont know?) I used it along with w/c's and starving my fish....it all seemed to help get rid of nitrates and HA problem. Bryan

hey'all, well on the 26th i replaced my old t-5 bulbs and went with 2 aquablue special and 1 blue plus and one actinic, all from ATI.... WOW those bulbs are so nice!!!!!....but since then my rbta has moved up under a the rock that it was near...and now it seems very irritated which the only new thing i have done is to replace the bulbs.....did i go too bright or make a mistake?? found this new bulb(s) company......was wondering if anyone has any input....also my adobe wont work can someone view the lab tests for the t-5 for me and let me know what they think. Thanks a bunch!!!!
