  1. Guys, i was in the area a few weeks ago and bought a cool awesome fat red scooter blenny(dragonet) from them.....a bit higher priced but none the less a awesome fish and he has even got fatter since then. i like the prospects of the store....and some of their prices were really good.....like he had some neon gobies for 9.99$$....and he had a mated pair of shrimp gobies in the seahorse tank that he was selling for $40.....sixline wrasses @18$. Bryan
  2. I have been going to the Cozy Clownfish in manassas lately....nice small shop....I really like the QT procedure they utilize....they have a nice variety of SW stock (fair prices)...and even have some of the harder to find FW items also. They are far from the mega marts....but in this hobby its quality NOT QUANTITY that we need!! Also what i like is that they dont seem to just have high end items for sale. http://www.thecozyclownfish.com/
  3. WOW.......i want some of that rock!!! good buy!
  4. That is some awesome looking rock...where did it come from?
  5. Kalk burns your nasal passages if you inhale it.......even in minute quantities.
  6. i would like your readings.........oh welll................
  7. I am beginning to not like instant ocean as well........i dont care to much for the 8.0-8.1 ph on freshly made batches.......and my last two batches (3 gallons) tested both around 380-90 on calcium......... i got my readings from a pinpoint monitor and salifert test kit......... Bryan
  8. http://www.reefscavengers.com also found this neat site... http://www.aquaculturestore.com/swinverts.html
  9. true, them bags are kinda bulky,,,,and reallly fine micron meshed......i usually trim and re-zip tie it....
  10. They must be quiet...i think mine are even quiet....thats a big plus ,having the fan run off the same cord as the light....that i wish mine had....they are right about the legs they dont look sturdy but mine are very sturdy. Bryan
  11. Steve , i think the pro model is less than 6 months old to the market.....it is prolly the same as the nova extreme but with individual reflectors....my reg nova extreme works well for me and runs very cool....only raises my tank temp less than 1 degree. as you know your Tek fixture ran very warm......almost hot.......the key to longevity in ballasts and bulbs is keep em cool. Bryan
  12. but............are they healthy.........petco has good prices ...but.............very sickly
  13. Well........let me first say....i am far from the expert on this here wamas board....but i think adding an anenome into such a young tank is bad........bad...i say........have you even been thru all the algae stages yet?....like the browns and greens and reds....i had hair algae so bad at one time my hermits were afraid they would get lost in it........let alone adding an anenome .......but knock on woood i am 100% HA free now...even though my tail spot blenny wishes i had a bit more....i think i am getting off track here....but we will wait for more of them "experts" to chime in on the subject. Bryan
  14. Hi, how old is your tank..............
  15. I think corraline algae is a nuisance.......i am forever scraping away from the front panel of my tank...... mine really took off after i got my refractometer and got my SG correct.....1.031 was way higher than the 1.025 i needed...thanks to them swing arm POS"S
  16. :( Well........... i see alot of neat thoughts on here....... but.. i have sent mr coral both a personal email and private message on wamas , reguarding his fish stock list and have not got any replies as of yet ..........its not like us down here in Va can just drive by..... so i will just keep on reading..... Bryan
