Heh, welcome back. I am likewise slowing easing my way back in. Doing a new build at the new house I just moved into. Good luck on the lights, I think I'm going Radion so unlikely going to be able to help.

Seems like a lot of fish for a 265g. I may be biased though because I tend to prefer lower loads. I assume this is FOWLR, so that fish load is less of an issue. Beyond that, I'd probably stock bottom to top and timid to aggressive. Gobies, Cardinals, Anthias, Clowns, Tangs. Kole and Blue tang go in first. Definitely think 8 tangs is far too much. If you go with a schooling set of zebrasomas (agree, add at the same time if so) then maybe only 1 or 2 more beyond that would be my recommendation. Also agree on scaling back Gobies and upping Anthias... although they're messy. What are the dimensions -- standard? If this is a six foot tank, I'm not sure you really want more than 2 tang types and 4 tangs total. Not entirely sure where the angels fit in. Anyway, my $0.02.

No issues here. Though I was at work and tried to check in on the tank via the fishcam. Alas, the fish cam had fallen off the empty kalk container that was balanced on top of an empty cardboard box next to the tank. Precarious doesn't even come close to describing the setup. Fortunately wife was home and gave me the all clear.

I don't have problems on my iPhone4 EXCEPT that when I want to PM someone it swaps out the handle name for ... something else. If I switch the name back it works fine. Reading new posts, etc, no issue.

First hand, I tell you, hundreds: not attractive.

I have three of these: http://www.arcatapet.com/item.cfm?cat=45 I use one in my frag tank and one in my display tank. Either: (a) NO BUBBLER on the end of the hose; or (b) Place bubbler below rock overhang so bubbles combine into big bubbles before they go to the surface. The big bubbles alone add enough oxygen and move enough water that my 180G tank has survived without any negative effect for ~24 hours of no power. My generator has a broken spring and whatnot and now will not start. I should have that thing serviced, hmmmm.

My experience with Glasscages was ... not great. I flushed $500 down the toilet, essentially. You can search for the relevant thread. My experience with Miracles in Canada was spectacular. Tank is beautiful. Buying experience was great.

Perhaps a little bit more background would be helpful? Answering these kinds of questions in a vacuum could easily point you down the wrong path. How long have you been in the hobby? What kind of tank do you hope to be setting up, with what equipment exactly? Sand? Barebottom? Live rock? Eventual stocking goals? There are probably a number of books that would be *great* initial reading material for guiding you if you're interested...

How early can I come and set up?

Hey, so I was planning on bringing a tank, water, powerhead, and light. Should I also bring a table to put it all on, or will there be tables to set up? I need to rid myself of a variety of frags. Trouble is I also need to pack up around 3pm to drive up to PA :(

I know I went to one in MD a few years back. I've been too unplugged from the boards to know if there's been one there recently.

If all goes well I'll actually be at this meeting. If so, I'll bring some frogspawn, stylophora, assorted zoas, this uh... Some kind of very blue acro?, and other random stuff.

If you're willing to head out to Vienna, I have a variety of things for free or for sale. LPS/SPS/Zoas/Leathers, etc. I just haven't been organized enough lately to advertise properly.
