  1. Just taking it slow... will add some frags and maybe another fish or two. Not sure which type yet, but I'll try to keep the bioload low.
  2. Welcome! It's definitely an addicting hobby.
  3. Thanks everyone. Here's a quick pic I snapped with my phone.
  4. As low as the group buy price?
  5. Sent PM Thanks
  6. Hi again! Been away from the scene for a bit, but my tank has been up and running (barely) the entire time. Now that my lil girl just turned one, I'm starting to have a little more time. Most of my corals died, except a few softies, but I'm hoping to revive the tank again.
  7. Haha. How is it doing that??
  8. My Sedra hums louder than my Mag 9.5 return. ???
  9. Any idea on how the noise compares to a Sedra pump? My Sedra 3500 pump is easily the loudest thing in my setup.
  10. Far from me, but I bought a fish there a few years ago that's still doing great.
  11. I've never had any issues with them either.
  12. I think walmart and lowes sells clear ammonia.
  13. They are good. Keep em in.
  14. I have to recommend reefcleaners as well. Great communication and customer support.
  15. I would imagine that it would still be good for a while... check out this thread: http://www.wamas.org/forums/topic/50677-frozen-food-expiration/page__p__424940entry424940
  16. Found this from the USDA site: Refreezing Once food is thawed in the refrigerator, it is safe to refreeze it without cooking, although there may be a loss of quality due to the moisture lost through thawing. After cooking raw foods which were previously frozen, it is safe to freeze the cooked foods. If previously cooked foods are thawed in the refrigerator, you may refreeze the unused portion. Freeze leftovers within 3-4 days. Do not refreeze any foods left outside the refrigerator longer than 2 hours; 1 hour in temperatures above 90
  17. Thanks for the info!
  18. If I bought frozen food in bulk (eg. Mysis, cyclopeeze), how long would it last in the freezer before it goes bad?
  19. Those bristles look huge. How big was the worm?
  20. Thanks for the tips. I'll definitely use trash bags to avoid spillage. Looks like I'll be cleaning some sand and buying a bunch of Rubbermaid totes. Do you want to sell your totes if you're not using them?
  21. This will be my first time doing a major move. What if you let the tank re-cycle without the corals/fish for a couple days after the move? I have a shallow sand bed. Used Southdown sand from many years ago... If I use new sand, what's everyone using as an economical alternative to live sand?
  22. Just updated my profile with location. Thanks for all the tips! I think I'm reconsidering moving the water now. Not only would it be easier to make new water at the new location, I wouldn't have to transport it.
  23. Getting ready to move my tank about 15 miles. What are you guys using to transport water? Went to Walmart last night and didn't see any good containers that could hold at least 40-50 gallons without spilling water. Thanks
  24. IMO, way too small of a tank. They're in a 125g w/ the water filled about 6 inches from the top, just so they have enough space to get on the platform to bask. I ended up adopting 2 from friends many years ago.
  25. Thanks, I'll definitely keep this option open. These turtles have been raised since they were only 1" small and they are now around 6-7". They've been raised indoors their entire life and fed daily w/ pellets and fresh veggies. Do you think they would survive the transition to the outdoor pond, extreme weather variances, and feeding situation?
