  1. And got sand and some of the rock in the tank. Gonna be a few days to make enough RO to fill the tank. If anyone in the Sterling area has a bunch of RO/do water already made and would like to help fill the tank, I could really use the help. Currently only making about 5 gallons per day due to my work schedule.
  2. it's through the canopy. I have it unioned so I can easily remove it.
  3. Sorry for not any updates in a while been really busy with this new little bean.
  4. Use some targeted dip specific to worms. Levamisole HCL works great! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Worm-Parasite-Control-for-Aquariums-Levamisole-HCl-Powder-/221908803967
  5. If you want a realtor that knows tanks well and is also an amazing realtor, reach out to Apcoleman here on the forums. He helped me buy my house out in sterling and also has a massive tank himself.
  6. Let me measure my car door entry. I will see if it will fit if I take the door off. I had to do this back in UT for a 90g. If the measurements works, I can deliver it for you.
  7. are you sure you want to miracle grow? that has added fertilizer which will eventually end up in your tank.
  8. Welcome Robert! good to have another 150g cube in the club!
  9. What do you use as a base? Just dirt? Coconut shell?
  10. Ahh ok. NVM then it's probably not that.
  11. I would run some carbon and see if they perk back up. Their could potentially be still some remaining. And worse case, you get cleaner water.
  12. +1 to this! one of the best snails you can get!
  13. did you buy the tank new or used? it could have been used with medication at one point and that medication is leaching from the silicone.
  14. The light fixture? That's the Aquatic life t5 LED retro. I got the 24" wide brackets for it so I can fit the radions lengthwise. Then I picked up some stainless steel T brackets from home depot to mount the moonlights on.
  15. Got the hood painted and equipment mounted in the hood. Still working on getting all the pump wiring all situated. Running my Jebao's from my Apex.
  16. I would go the aquatic life route. the T5's add a lot for coloration and growth. I have some kessil mounts you can have if you want to go that route.
  17. Pros of no sand: you can have higher flow easier to clean you can grow corals on the bottom glass Cons: Cant have sand burrowing fish and inverts (No wrases, no watchman gobies, no sand sifting starfish, no nassarius snails, no conch) don't get the aesthetics of sand on the bottom
  18. That's a good price! $80 for an arm mount? WTH... New they are $40 Link well give them a shot and see how they go.
  19. So the main reason I am super skeptical about Red Sea lights is every light they come out with is dramatically different from the last. Vs companies like Ecotech and AI, they incrementally make changes and fixes based on user feedback. Not to mention Red Sea has a poor rep with their LEDs. The model before this had LEDs burning out about once a month. They had a really bad reputation. That's why they were shipping with AI hydras for good 2 years while they developed some thing new. But just looking at R2R, there is only 5 build threads on that site using those lights. And all those build threads are extremely new with barely any coral in them. The TLDR of that: Red Sea does not have a good track record with lights. Use something that is proven and has a good track record. The 2 lights you have now will grow coral just fine. You can take your time and wait to see how the other people's tanks do with these lights. If you see good results over a 6 month period, then pick some up. You could probably even get them significantly discounted by buying them used. Early adoption of a new thing in reefkeeping almost never pays off. New products almost always have issues when first released.
  20. Thats a good idea! Me personally, i just push the maintenance down the road with a skimmate locker :P
