  1. So sorry to hear about this. Major bummer.
  2. Saw this on another forum: Coupon code: SAVES25 http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=4856 Was supposed to be only good for yesterday, but just tried and still worked for me today on Reef Crystals - 200g box for $41.24 shipped plus tax.
  3. His reading is 7.86 ug/l, so 7.86 ppb.
  4. The foxface got too big, so I replaced it with this beauty, who is now the king of the tank:
  5. Here's a FTS: After the RBTA split, the burgessi starting picking on it, which caused it to further split, then I removed it. Got some torches instead. Picked up some sticks too.
  6. Nice. Love the filefish. Glad it's working out for you.
  7. Nice haul. Monti looks like an undata.
  8. Got any videos of them shoaling?
  9. Any more videos and/or photos?
  10. Added a birdsnest frag and the hawkfish immediately begin to perch on it. Thought the irony was pretty funny.
  11. I feed my fish pellets, nori, mysis, LRS, and live blackworms. They all eat like pigs and have no issues when I run out of blackworms and delay in buying more.
  12. Nice, where did you get those?
  13. What are you looking for? Not necessarily recommendations, but the following are open on Mondays: Tropical Lagoon, Centreville Aquarium, Congressional Aquarium, House of Tropicals
  14. When I added my burgessi, he initially went at it with my bicolor angel and became king of the tank. I recently added a whitetail tang and he went at it with the burgessi (and bicolor) and is now king of the tank. Interesting thing is that my burgessi is the biggest consumer of nori (actually of all the food) in my tank, which I didn't expect. Maybe that's why there's the aggression (they see each other as competitors for the same food sources). Keep an eye on that burgessi as mine picked at a small RBTA I had (which I then removed) but left my larger RBTA alone. But then when the larger RBTA split, he picked at both of the smaller splits (which stressed them out and one split again). I've been removing them as I can, but do not plan on keeping them in the tank with the burgessi anymore.
  15. Ahh, I see. Thanks for clearing that up.
  16. What exactly does this mean? Does that mean your QT facility is in WA state? Or does that mean 95% of the orders get shipped directly from WA state to the customer without going through your QT protocol?
  17. I'm usually very paranoid and QT everything - fish, corals, snails, etc. However with pods from a reputable vendor, like Reef Nutrition or Algae Barn, I just dump them in.
  18. Did the guys who came to your house have bags or cups? How were they able to hide it from you?
  19. Were they from wamas?
  20. Beautiful!
  21. Sad to see you leave. Some of my first hammers were from you.
  22. The blackworm shortage is real! The 3 LFSes in this area that normally have them in stock were all short this week. I managed to get 1 portion. I'll have to ration it for my QT for a fish coming tomorrow. No more broadcast feeding in the DT
  23. Here what I use: http://www.melevsreef.com/catalog/eheim-apex-auto-feeder-chimney Same concept, just a bit more refined.
  24. I visited here this past weekend. Very impressive. I've never seen a bandit angel in real life (let alone at a LFS) and he had 2! Eating pellets no less. Lots of Achilles Tangs and Magnificent Foxfaces in stock. I felt like I was snorkeling in Maui as almost every single tank had Achilles Tangs. Tuan is very friendly and I enjoyed chatting with him.
