  1. So I noticed that the bubbles on my bubble chamber for my CaRx is not changing. I get about 1 bubble ever 4-5 seconds and i am unable to increase it. I have tried to open the valve to increase it but still nothing. I even checked that the tank has gas and it does. Any idea what is going on here? I can still open and close the solenoid via my Apex
  2. It is not worth it to fix the display. I did have a cheap tablet that i mounted and it served the purpose and worked well for me. I also have Alexa set up for voice command like "turn off Skimmer, ATO, Return pump, Light" etc. It is worth setting up
  3. I know many also say that it can be safe to connect the RO system directly to the ATO if you you a solenoid. I just dont like the idea of giving the tank unlimited access to fresh water. If you go this way, make sure you have a double backup system, with solenoid and float switches etc. good luck
  4. wow, big changes. You are going have a human frag! Congratulations to you.
  5. Hello Paige, welcome to the club
  6. i too use the Wyze cam pan and been very happy with it. i had it mounted on the opposite wall and used it mainly for monitoring the tank when i was traveling. to issues with it all
  7. Just wanted to let you all know that today and tomorrow (July16-17th) is PRIME day on Amazon. They have incredible deals of power stations. These would be an excellent option for backup power. Check it out. Milton
  8. also make sure that the pics are jpeg format
  9. So, the question is, what is the minimum size of a colony/mini colony? I have two HUGE colonies, I would like to frag for sale. 1. A peach hammer that is over a basket ball size. would a piece of 10-15 heads be consider a colony? 2. A green slimer colony with several branches over 6 inches long. I would like to offer up colony size for sale, not 1-2 heads or peaces that at 1-2 inches long. thoughts? Many thanks Milton
  10. Hello WAMAS, So after 8 years of growth, and being devastated by losing SPS colonies (at least 10, some bigger that a basketball), I have decided to reset my tank. I have sunset monti that has taken over many rocks and a peach hammer that is literally falling over from its own weight and size. So, I need to get rid of a lot of corals. Any ideas how i can sell off most of them in one big swoop or who would even be interested in taking all of them? I would rather not go through the process of selling individual frags. much thanks Milton
  11. Welcome back to the hobby Quentin.
  12. Hey You have an RC?

  13. I think I found the reason why. The valve controlling the flow rate out of the CaRx was completely open, pushing out more that 600 ml/min so the pH in the reactor was not getting low enough. I have closed the valve and it now looks ok. Thank all Milton
  14. Fellow control freaks, I need some help. For the past few months, the solenoid on my CaRx has only been running in the on position, meaning, CO2 is always on and as a result, the CO2 that do not last as long as it used to. I have attached screen grabs of my codes and current situation. I can manually switch it to off and the solenoid would close, but with the programming, it never turns off. What am i missing here? I know the codes are good, but i cant figure this out. any suggestions? I have even calibrated both the tank ph and the CaRx probes, but it makes no difference. Much thanks
  15. I think you can do this. However, i have never done this. I do remember a video from MileHigh reefer where he fragged his and the pieces were all doing well
  16. this is how i am dosing: I use a pH probe in the reactor, I add enough powder to saturate the solution. You know you are saturated when the pH gets to @12-12.4. I then use a dosing pump to dose a set volume (you have to decide how much) at nights starting about 6pm-6pm. Test to see where your alk is and adjust as needed.
  17. You have a pretty light bio load for this tank, small fish. perhaps you need more fish in the tank Perhaps, stop running the fuge for a while and see it things change. Really no need for one in your current situation. Does the algae grows?
  18. Matt, How big is your tank and what is the current bio load (fish and corals)?
  19. Welcome to WAMAS and the hobby. I have a frag for you of an LPS coral if you are interested. A tip on your scape, it is all one level, you want your eyes to move while viewing. Consider creating different heights (my opinion) good luck Milton
