  1. Recently noticed my SCA 50 gallon cube set up had some water damage on one of the side panels on the stand it looks pretty bad inside and the damage continues a little on the outside maybe I’m just paranoid but would love to get an outside perspective on what I should do or if it’s bad enough to drain the tank. Any helpful input would be greatly appreciated
  2. https://www.fishnreef.com/ One FREE berghia with any order of 6 large berghia. Nudibranch Berghia only consume and are natural predators of Aiptasia Anemones. They reproduce and can eradicate the Aiptasia from your tank. Aiptasia is ALL Berghia eat. Larger 1/2" bergia are better for high flow SPS tanks while smaller 1/4" bergia are fine for lower flow tanks. HOW MANY? Large infestation: 3 for 1st 10 gallons. 2 per 10 gallons thereafter. We ship Berghia which are about 1-2 months old, depending on the size as we fatten them up on aiptasia. Some thoughts when you add Berghia to your tank. - Berghia last for quite a while in tanks to about 5-8 months. - Release with powerheads off by rockwork and switch off lights to minimize fish thinking you are putting in food. Do not release directly on Aiptasia. Place them nearby. They will find the Aiptasia. - While you can sometimes see Berghia during the lights on cycle, they are nocturnal predators. - Keeping a separate tank for your Berghia requires maintaining it like your display tank. Temperature about 78F. Air bubbler without the stone (low bubble count). Water quality like display. Keep tank clean. - If you have another aiptasia predator, they might be a predator to a Berghia, including peppermint shrimp and fish like butterfly fish. Not recommended. A note on the beautiful copperband butterfly fish. They are very difficult to keep alive when put into tanks. Please serioiusly read up on these fish before you put them in your tank. You will notice that copperbands pick at many things, including corals, clams, inverts and will most likely erradicate your tank of featherdusters and worms. - Nocturnal carnivores like arrow crabs, sally lightfoot crabs, larger wrasses (corris, etc) also eat may eat Berghia, especially in smaller tanks. The fish really don't eat the Berghia since they taste like aiptasia, but by taking tasting bites they can injure the Berghia. 7. I am selling a beautiful 180 gal Oceanic tank with custom, solid wood stand for $999. This tank was set up by professionals and includes everything you need except water and fish! Includes 100 pounds of live rock. Also includes top with new lights. Also heater, pumps, protein skimmer, bucket of salt, etc. there is a wet/dry filter system housed within the stand. The pictures show the top, lights, and filter system. I took the pictures while cleaning/replacing the water, but the tank is usually filled. The tank is 24"D x 29.25"H x 60"W. The stand is approximately four feet tall and otherwise mostly matches the tank's dimensions. Of course the components and accessories are worth much more than I am asking, but I am a slightly motivated seller. I am including a link to the Craigslist post. Hopefully it conveys - https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/for/6221059046.html If interested, please email me at no7325@gmail.com Thanks!

  9. I got this Quiet One pump about 7 weeks ago.... It's been freakin noisy as hades since day one. The other day it got even worse. Today suddenly it practically screamed bloody murder at me, so I turned it off and took it apart. I also found out where the mysterious blue plastic thing came from that showed up in my tank a couple days ago.... Is my water F-ed up now due to the impeller metal? Could this be why that hoek frag RTNed a couple weeks ago, and why a couple other frags are on their way out? I guess I'll put some carbon in the tank when I get off the computer. But now I'm back to no pump.

  12. It looks like the Aliens have invaded my refugium. What the heck is this thing? In addition to its appearance, it is slimy feeling and enjoys living on the dark side of the rock.
  13. Just a quick note about them. I went in this afternoon to get some LR to seed my cycle and they were packed! Not sure if it was a fluke but it's definitely a good sign that our LFS is packed at any point. Also, I overheard one of the employees tell another customer, who was getting everything for a FW setup for their kid, and probably knew nothing about this hobby, that they needed to cycle their tank first. They were ready to buy fish, like a lot of people, but was warned against it. I know we hear a lot about employees at other pet stores not warm customers about this so it's nice to know that you can trust your LFS (at least this one) and know that they are here for good information, nice service and maybe some fish. Good experiences deserve to be told as well.
