  1. Great big shout out to everyone that made today possible. Special thanks to Air, Water and Ice for donating the awesome RO/DI filter I got in the Raffle.!!!!!!!
  2. I have an octopus OTCX 200 and I personally would not restrict the air inlet. Both times mine has overflowed it was the air inlet ring on the suction of the pump was restricted with salt buildup. I run my water level in the skimmer 1 inch below the bottom of the collection cup. Hope this helps!!!
  3. I'm WWWAAAYYY out in the boonies and have a deep well in sandstone. I keep an RO on hand just in case it goes away.
  4. Cool Eric, can't wait to see it in person.
  5. I use well water that goes through a 20 micron sediment filter then though a 5 micron carbon cartridge. This filters it for my whole house. TDS out of the tap is 40. Works great in my softy tank. Other people on the forum are running SPS tanks with water straight from the tap.
  6. Empty the cup every three or four days. Clean the whole skimmer every other month.
  7. My screen name is quite simply my real name. My first name is Todd and my last name is Robinson. This started on my neighborhoods forum site Valley Chatter and I ran the neighborhood watch so it was easier to just use my real name.

  9. I had the same problem in my basement. I used a high capacity low sone bathroom fan vented to the outside. This still might not be an option for you if the exit is through masonary. Just a thought.
