Quiet one pumos are crap. Go on Grudfos pumps website and look at their chemical resistant pumps. Extremely similar to the old little giant pumps. I had one of these last 25 years!!!!!!
You can find a very similar species in the Chesapeake Bay, they call them skillet fish because of their shape. Related to gobies and act alike. I use to catch them off of pilings off Oceanview Beach in Norfolk. The ones from the bay were fairly aggresive with each other and produce copious amounts of mucus when you tried to catch tlem. They can stick to glass like glue!!
Just got back in from the first plowing, not too bad. Still coming down about an inch an hour. I've lived in this area all my life and days like today make me want to move to the Keys!!!!!!!
If it is the same one I saw this summer it was a HUGE bubble tip that had lost it's "bubbles".There is one tank with very large green , white, and red anemones that is a cold water tank. Is this the one you are talking about??
The old quiet one pumps were made by Grundfos and were perfect!!!!! The 'quarium line of pumps are the closest to the old quiet one. Grundfos also sells a chemically resistant pump that looks exactly like the old style quiet one. That will be what I replace my un-quiet one when it fails.
