I did blue legged hermit crabs and astrea and cerith snails. well the hermits pretty much wiped out my snails. Now my hermits are in my QT tank(thanks Jan). Me personally i will never have hermits. Good luck man.

OMG, I just read through all that Tom and this seems so confusing. First off I rent a inlaw suite and do not have access to the router as I use there wireless netowrk so not sure how this would work.

How did you add a UV to the Red Sea Max. I have that tank and was thinking about it but wasnt sure how.

I was looking at the Neptune Apex Jr. system. http://www.neptunesys.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=61&Itemid=40 Now i know it has an app for my phone and is expandable for when I go bigger. Also not sure if it is wireless.

My tank has a built in light timer. I would manly useit for heater and the cooling fan that blows over the water.

AlanM -- I do not know where you are in MD but a good store i have had great luck with is House Of Tropicals in GLen Burnie. I travel 45 minutes to get to them since i live in Mt. Airy, MD. So worth it. Welcome to the club, best one on the net.

I have a Red Se Max 130/34gal. set up. I was thinking for doing a controller on it. What are the benefits of a controller on a nano tank like mine? and which model should I consider? Any help is much appreciated!

My QT tank is a 10 gallon with a flouresant strip light. is that ok?

House of tropicals fed him flakes so I am doing that right now. I would liek to convert him to pellets, cus my other fish eat pellets. I only have him in QT to make sure there are no dieseases that get introduced into my DT. Should I keep my lights off or is it ok to turn them on? Also how long do i keep the algae sheet in the tank?

Is it normal that he hides in the pipe? I tried offering him some dry seaweed and he wouldnt touch it. I know they are algae grazers.

Hey i just bought a small Kole tang and have had him in my QT tank since Sunday. He looks good and all. He does hide in the pipe i have in there more when I am around the tank. he does swim around the tank though. I saw him eat the first day but havent since. He looks good otherwise. How long do I keep him in my QT tank?

OLDREEFER--I onlt have the stock return pumps(x2) in teh tank. So if only ran the return pumps, what size ups you think then?

Yeah i was hoping to run the 2 return pumps, heater, skimmer, and lights (entire system). Is that too much to run off a ups? If so what should I be running on the back up system then?
