Dan said that they have a couple of hybrids that their daughter raised and that one of them bred a couple of months ago. This is the only confirmed case that he knows of this particular mix breeding. He also wrote that that he has heard reports that the H. erectus along Brazil are more colorful than those in North America and there is some speculation that they have interbred with H. reidi. I did get two and they are arriving tomorrow. I'll post pictures.

They have hybrids available at this time. They are Hippocampus erectus/reidi combo's. Dan said he got them from a researcher who had extra fry from a study she was doing. He has had them for awhile as he was waiting for them to be ready for sale. If you are looking for seahorses you might want to look at these.

Paul, I appreciate your response and of course I will want to rush right out to purchase your book ( your knowledge and suggestions are undoubtably quite valuable) You are correct in that the super models won't appeal to me although I understand your wanting them in the book. Perhaps you could put pictures of Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp on alternate pages for the female readers. I am truly shocked that Angelina Jolie wouldn't want to stand next to you on the book cover. She is obviously beautiful but not very bright.
