  9. from what i understand this goes directly to red cross, and yes i am very skeptical of some organizations that only want to get your money but this one seemed like one of the right ones to donate to. Also stay away from religious donation sites as they deliver their porpaganda as opposed to food and blakets which is what the people really need.
  10. they are matching your $5 dollar donation if anyone is interested in donating, here is the link. It is a small donation but goes a long way when combined with the help of an entire community. 4 hours left for this matching deal. https://livingsocial.com/deals/32115-5-for-10-donation-to-red-cross-relief-efforts
  11. Thanks Dan, sorry now that i am off work and home relaxing i realize i messed up, i think i got the shelf from Guy. Thanks Rob, i need to get a dj power switch, then i can move and label everything. I should be able to ride this Saturday maybe. Thanks Scott, how is your tank doing homey?
  12. thanks Dan and Learning, Dan those two pieces of shelf are ones i got from you long ago, had to keep them.
  13. How it looks as of a week ago, i did place all the rics on square plus and have added a duncan and a nice frogspawn since.
  14. the solana tanks are solid hands down, well built, look great, decent stock parts and overall a nice looking tank. After not having the best of times trying to maintain a small 14 gallon Biocube, i decided to set up another Solana, (some of you may remember my first one, its was super nice) it is still in the process of becoming a nice reef like most of you guys have. I buildt the stand, modded the skimmer and started fresh with some marco rocks, used prodibio at the reccomendation of a friend and i beleive it has helped a lot in getting it started, the skimmer is working great, fish and the few corals seem to be very happy. http://www.wamas.org/forums/topic/28372-my-34g-solana/ http://www.wamas.org/forums/topic/39600-my-14-gallon-biocube/ 34 Gallon Solana Stock return pump Modded skimmer Custom built stand Vortech MP10ES 15lbs Marco Rocks JBJ ATO JBJ Nano Glo 24" Sundial fixture ATI Purple Plus ATI Blue Plus ATI True Actinic UVL Aquasun
  15. i agree with John, and congrats on taking advantage of that sale, i did too and they seem to be doing the exact same thing in my tank. if i see one upside down, i always give them a little help.
  16. when i went through this i used Kent MG so i would also reccomend it, do not do any water changes till the MG is up to the desired level, once the bryopsis is gone, bring the MG down with water changes.
  17. raise your magnesium slowly to 1800, you will see the algae start to die off.
  18. interesting design, more info on it would definitely help.
  19. nice growth for sure Eric, and sweet tank man.
  20. its not surprising, this hobby is a demanding money pit, either way, you had one of the nicest tanks i ever saw and if you do set up again it would be of great value to all reefers who looked up to your tank.
  21. just a heads up, they have a bunch and sale is most are 99 cents, picked up a bunch of healthy margaritas, turbos and astreas last night.
  22. all these threads about fault heaters, i am definitely picking up an Ehaim Jager.
  23. they also have a 15 pound box, i got one not long ago and seems like the perfect amount. http://www.marcorocks.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=63
