  1. WOW really nice job man, please do not do anything else to it, looks super nice the way it is.
  2. Your tank is looking insane Adam.
  3. is it Algaefix? http://www.marinedepot.com/Aquarium_Pharmaceuticals_Algaefix_Marine_Water_Treatment_Conditioner_Additives_Supplements-Aquarium_Pharmaceuticals_API_MARS_Fishcare-AP1934-FIADWT-vi.html
  4. mmmmmmmmm thanks for the lead, i will look it up and try it if i can find it.
  5. they were set in a TEK 24 fixture, regular stock ballast i guess not really over driven but i did have that fixture close to the water so all the SPS liked it. In fact i had two fixtures, one was set with all hagen and the other with all wave point and before that it was wave point and giesseman and there was no change in the corals color, maybe slightly due to adding more blue or different actinic. The biggest change was when i switched to LED's, loved the blues, hated it when it was on during mid day, corals never looked the same. I probably should have stayed with t5's they worked great with what i had.
  6. i disagree, i used their t5 lamps on my tank a while back and they worked just fine with great color.
  7. i cant get the roots, this rock has lots of corals on it and is fairly large, really hoping an urchin can take care of it.
  8. Looks to be caulerpa prolifera http://www.mariculturetechnology.com/images/CaulerpaPro.jpg
  9. what type of urchin mogurnda? Rob, i pluck it every week and it just grows back, its very rooty so once it grabs a hold of something its over and taking the rock out is a no no since it has a clam in on it and other corals encusted. I tought about a small yellow tang but i dont think they eat it when they are that small or do they? my tank is only 14 gallons, and anything i put to eat it would just be temporary.
  10. i have it in my nano and i am tired of ripping it out, need something that can eradicate it.
  11. this happened to one of mine a while ago and it was fine, it was probably getting more than enough light and decided to move.
  12. i have waited and also usd right away without any adverse effects to the fish or corals so you should be fine, just make sure its warm enough.
  13. i had a GBTA in the solana under T5's and it did not grow that fast because i did not feed it silver sides, just whatever it would catch while feeding other corals and fish with mysis and reef chilly. The only thing is that when it did start to move because i changed pump directions it stung a few SPS on its way to the other side, my guess is if i do end up putting one in my tank it would most likely stay close to the top so the few zoas and brain i have at the bottom would be ok.
  14. i guess ill give a small one a try (thats what she said ) lol anyways, thanks for the help guys.
  15. it would be on a 14 gallon biocube, not sure on wattage but the bulbs are really close to the water and the water is kept clear and clean.
  16. no not under personal computers would it thryve under power compacts? i was wondering if i should put one in a small tank with my semi snowflake clowns.
  17. i tought one of my kids fell of their bed, crazy for sure.
  18. Very nice Rob.
