  1. I'd go with 2 MP10s instead. At least have a little redundancy when you're cleaning the pumps off. Also, I'd head out to that fish place if you can. They're doing a buy one get one half off (in store), so you should be able to get it both pumps for $417.36, and that's for the Wireless version. That'll save you $144 or so.
  2. How's everything in the tank doing so far? Still using the cannon?
  3. Gorgeous looking nem and fish and great job.
  4. If money is no issue, I'd say that Alpha 200, I believe there was one in the FS section for a really great price.
  5. Shipping out a PH Probe, does someone have one that they can bring to the meeting for me?
  6. Sorry to see you go, good luck with your sale and hopefully you'll be back.
  7. I had a bad outbreak but with the additional of an emerald crab and a rabbitfish, they're all but gone now.
  8. Lame of that person, actually it's probably even more secure with ya'll just to hold then providing it over online forms, but oh well, to each his own. I am happy that I came out for the event last month and picked up two cute and very sociable fish that are doing great (Rabbitfish and Sailfin Tang). The rabbit has pretty much taken care of my Valonia issue, woo hoo. So thanks Johnny for being a PREMIUM SUPER DUPER VENDOr.
  9. I have mp10s, and while I like the water movement a lot, they're pretty noisy compared to the tunze's that I used to own.
  10. I tried, really, it's not worth the extra money. I'd stick to what you're using now over NeoMarine. It's not going to be a cure all to anything at all.
  11. Great looking tank Mark. Can't wait to see it in person one day.
  12. Anyone see that tank on CL for dirt cheap, except for the fact that you won't be able to fit it anywhere other than a garage or you'll have to modify some entry way to fit it in.
  13. Where did you buy the photon canon from?

  15. Is it ok to put up a topic about donating a system to a school in this forum? My son will not be attending his school next year and I'd like to donate that system to another school that may want it. Description of items: 40br with black stand Nova 4 bulb T5 mag5 Return 20H sump ~20lbs. of LR Green Star Polyps Zoa Rock 2 Clarkii Clowns If it's not ok, just please remove this post.
  16. Here's a 2008 post by Dr. Mac http://www.reefsanctuary.com/forums/pacific-east-aquaculture/31362-japanese-corals.html
  17. Someone make this easy on everyone else. Just call Wildlife Enforcement, ask them, end of this whole debate.
  18. Nah, it's no biggie and not causing that much of a stir. It's either one of two things: 1) False advertisement 2) Selling of illegal goods Take your pick.
  19. Maybe one of the officers can chime in on why it's ok to have this up on WAMAS. I hope that the LFS you guys talk about knows about the possible ramifications that could come with it though.
  20. Just thought this was an interesting small article. http://glassbox-design.com/2010/5-reasons-not-to-buy-japanese-corals/ 5 Reasons NOT to Buy “Japanese” Corals #1 | They are ILLEGAL. Yes, the export of live coral from Japan is illegal. By buying Japanese corals you are supporting a black market that is giving this industry and hobby a black eye. #2 | It’s probably not from Japan. We’re not sure which is worse, that most of the corals are not illegal or that livestock retailers will do anything for a sale. Do livestock retailers lie to its customers? Sadly, yes. #3 | Unethical stores use the marketing term, or, buy the illegal animals. If the retailer is outside of Japan and selling corals “from Japan,” they are either selling illegal animals or lying. Is that a business you wish to support? What does that say about their credibility in terms of animal care or customer service in the event of coral mortality? #4 | If truly Japanese = Longer Supply Chain As live coral exports from Japan are illegal, they are often first shipped to a neighboring country and then to the final destination under false paperwork. This means more time in bags, more shipping and more stress to the animal. #5 | See #1 & 2! Recently the craze has been deepwater Japanese zoanthids. The large majority are neither from Japan or collected in deepwater. If you see a retailer using the word Japanese I would urge you to avoid them, or better yet–ask them for paperwork!
