  1. A few weeks ago, I e-mailed Sean a few days after he had posted some livestock (yellow and blue hippo tang). Went over late one evening (didn't mean to and went earlier than I told Sean), but got hooked up on a small blue and medium sized yellow. Was a little worried about the blue since he was playing dead with the bubble wand, but took the chance. Well, as of now, both are doing great and have been weened onto pellets (woo hoo!). Just goes to show you how good F&F's QT is. Thanks a bunch Sean.
  2. Here's mine. I'll let you guys figure out if the spread is good enough. Forgot to add, tank is 72x24.
  3. +1, try fans first. If that doesn't work, then look into chillers. Only thing that annoys me about fans is the fact that you're evaporating at a higher rate.
  4. I have 3 on my 150 (72") and the light coverage is perfect.
  5. Pill Cannons are the 100W versions. I keep on saying Pill to you because it looks pill shaped.
  6. A grand. Wow you must be getting special pricing. For the Vertex and depending on how long your tank is (if it's 72" long), you're looking at a bare minimum of 2 - 3K. As another alternative, I'd look into the ecoxotic pill cannons. They're supposed to have a spread of 36" x 24" and will be going for $600-$700 a piece depending on whether you get the dimmable adapter or not. Also, for that same price, Aqua Illuminations are supposed to be fantastic as well and have many of the features similar to the Vertex. One last option would be Maxspect since everything can be swapped out should you require to swap out any of the leds or lenses.
  7. When in doubt, throw it out.
  8. Glenn, Order two for me as well. I'll pick it up at your place.
  9. Alk, Nitrates, PH, Nitrite, Ammonia - API Calcium and Mag - ELOS I've gotten to the point where testing is more for general areas and not pinpoint accuracy. For pinpoint accuracy, I believe there's a testing site that you have to send in a water sample and they'll give you in depth numbers to a lot more tests.
  10. You don't have to, but it may be better coverage.
  11. Looking really nice, but one question though. Where'd all the SPS go?
  12. Canon 7D. Nice to take photos and videos of the tank with it.
  13. It is working. Just that that last period got lumped in as well. Here's the official link: http://www.pvas.com/april11auctionraffle.php

  15. Here's an article on ORP which the ozone takes care of: http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2003-12/rhf/feature/index.php I'm researching this now as well.
  16. Suggestion for you. 1) Get on CMAS and ask folks to help load the tank, they actually may live closer to where you're picking up the tank. 2) Get on WAMAS and ask folks to help unload the tank, these folks may live closer to where you're unloading. I would help out, but I should be getting a tank this weekend too. :( Good luck though.
  17. John, What's the spread on those cannons?
  18. Been good man. Just relaxing and bidding my time for something new like yourself.
  19. There's actually a guy on CMAS that is selling a complete setup, lights, tank, stand, etc. etc. (220g, I think it's 7' x 2' x 2') for a very reasonable price < $700. I think his father passed away and the family just wants it out since it's a lot of work to take care of. :(
  20. Lol, you could always sell me your 40s and then you could get the 60s.
  21. I don't have any experience with it, but was going to get it. Been reading on the other sites, R2R and RC about the product and so far everyone likes it.
  22. $300 for the bubble magus triple doser.
  23. Looks great. Good luck with the setup. Can't wait until you get more livestock in there.
