  1. I just took it down and probably not look into it till next spring. I am traveling to overseas in mid Dec for three weeks and once I come back I'll start to plan what I really wanna do. I'll have to make some room for bigger 40 breeder IF i were to go with one. I have plenty of space in my basement where my sump/filter system is located but I just need to re-organzie things with better layout. I just wish I had more time especially with my 8months old son thanks for your suggestions Sid
  2. Tank is cracked, water is still in it which is leaking slowley. I have few frag pieces nothing crazy. It was plugged in wiht my main system but I have cut off the water flow. I am thinking about just taking it down and not have any frag tank. I don't have another tank to replace it with anyways.
  3. I've been blessed with both :(((. Can't find a solution and my corals are getting stung and dying!!!! Hate them both
  4. nice, I have a small frag about 3-4" and hope that can turn into something nice over time
  5. I have a same issue with some elephant ear shrooms who I stabbed/cut/pulled off but that sucker just grew right back and stinging my green pocci. I'll have to try different method.
  6. Ohh thanks I missed that post
  7. I think MP40 is too much for your tank, I have single MP40 in my 144gl half circle and you can see from the video link below how much flow I have. http://www.wamas.org/forums/index.php?show...p;hl=MP40+video
  8. try pouring some vinegar let is soak for 15-20mins or so and then try to use needlenose pliara. I had mine stuck in there and after vinegar bath it came lose and pulled it out very easily.
  9. I add two part manually everyday in my 75gl sump which pushes it to my MT upstairs and I do notice that my Ph level go up but doesn't spike up as you stated. I see it gradually go up i.e 7.9-8.2, 8.3
  10. I have mine setup within my sump's middle chamber with cheato/micro algea and about 4-5" DSB. The more dirty my sump is the better my tank will be I think
  11. I wanted to see if anyone here had any expierence with Beghia and how did that worked out for aiptasia. I am thinking about this last option. http://www.berghia.net/marketprice.html
  12. very nice, I am same way but practice makes it all better what camera/lens did you use?
  13. OMG. I have these growing like crazy in tank and was thinking about plucking them. They look ugly IMO. What is the best way to get rid of them in the rank. I can't remove rock.
  14. can you list some corals and their prices what you have. It will help us all out. Thanks Sid
  15. simply WoW!.. nice project there.. can wait to see more pics as it grows.
  16. Just and FYI, Dan and I've been exchanging emails regarding my issue and he's been really helpful. I hope to get this issue resolved soon.
  17. Yes it still has 1262 pump with new 1262 impeller, I think I might have the mesh mod that Dan sent me; I just need directions on how to install it properly perhaps.
  18. After I replaced my impeller my skimmer is not making much skimmate. I did have mesh wheel mod before and it was pulling all sorts of stuff..now there's pretty much nothing. I've never done the mesh wheel mod, skimmer came with one. What else I can do beside the mesh mod to improve the performance? Sid
  19. or use a small power head MJ900 or 1200 and point the flow at the base not too close to have too much flow but just enough where it will start to move. This has worked all the time. good luck
  20. l know it's not a valid example to use cars windshield but if you or someone happened to noticed that small crack from a rock expands and especially when weather changes from cold to hot or vice versa. I've had to replace mine couple of years ago. I know car's body flexes and wind plays a role as well, but lets be honest what surity will you have after you use the glue especially since the crack is towards the top of the tank where there be some waves, air and light temp? then again nothing can be garunteed and nobody knows the futre; if you feel comfortable going with it by all means do, we are just providing our opinons/suggestion.
  21. sweet, I've bought some LEDs for different project which are still sitting in bag and never got chance to start the project. I have to buy resistors soldering tool etc and some extra free time ..
  22. I wouldn't use it.. crack can expand over time with salt/water and temp of the house/water etc. It would be peace of mind to just try to sell this explaing the issue and spend little bit and get a new drilled tank. Even if you fix the crack it can still expand. Slicon/glue will just stop the leak not stop the crack from expanding especially with water movement in the tank. just my .02$
