  4. Thanks, Phil now I'm out to get some special killer juice. I hate them as well Curtis
  5. Get Naga to make you a custom acrylic tank ofr you. He over builds his tanks so its always thicker than what is normally used. so no warping there 3/4 to 1" will not warp. I have had both and love the acrylic tanks. he has a shop in annapolis. JMO Curtis
  6. Rik Sorry to hear about your loss, it looks like its not a total melt down if there is a good side the disaster. Curtis
  7. Man Doug you have a awesome wife. Maybe I should train mine on the generator. Curtis
  8. I have heard to many stories about tank crashes lately . I got a very small generator about 10 years ago and it is only like 500 watts but it runs all my tanks pumps. so this is all one needs. http://pepboys.shoplocal.com/pepboys/defau...dPepBoys-080608
  9. Sorry to hear about your loss. stick with it. I used to live in a area where the power would go out almost monthly it seemed like. So about 10 years ago I got a small generator like 500 watts ( now they are much larger) and it has given me some relaxing room, but i live in a new area that the power hardley ever goes out so I always have to run it just to keep it going. I have to much money in the tank to even think about losing it. So i would suggest to anyone that has more than $500 in live stock to get a generator. when your ready to stock up I have lots of frags for you. Curtis
  10. Sweet setup nice transformation over a short period. Curtis
  11. Hey let us know how they work because I might want to order some as well
  12. I tried it once on a 75 gallon to jump start some coraline. it seemed to give the coraline a boost. Now i use some 2 part (alk+Calcium) really 3 parts (magnesium). from bulkreefsupply.com Curtis
  13. awesome thread How about a mini group buy? i want some also Curtis
  14. I got a sweet Acan from the aquarium co. in Reston yesterday during there grand opening. A great store stocked with things you need with no junk. Awesome selection of frozen foods that other lfs stores do not have. thanks Sean and the staff, Curtis
  15. I just bought this 2 month's ago and love it . http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/LiterMeter-I...oduct_info.html I was at one of naga's job's(pimped out aquarium's) and hooked it up on a top off tank and liked how easy it is to set up and how many good features it has. So I had to buy one . Right now i have it hooked up on a 7 gallon top off tank with some kalk water. in another week when Jeff get's my deltec kalk stirrer then it will be hooked up to that. it will dose 150 times in one day for the amount you specify. and you can add 2 more pumps so it can dose other things like calcium or anything else. its pricey but from what I hear it will last a very long time and be very dependable . Curtis
  16. I Have one of these ...http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/prod/215662/product.web And I have softies, zoas, mushrooms, gsp. the light is on of the best light for a tank under 5 gallons IMO. I'm impressed I got it when it sold for $40.00 that was a steal. Curtis
  17. Man.... I love seafood ,I cant get enough .
  18. Awesome. I do have one clam i got from MACNA so I will keep A eye on it. Curtis
  19. I tried nudis and peppermint shrimp now I've had it. I have to get this frag quarantine tank under control with the aptasia. so what might a copperband eat as far as corals go. Rozzens has a small one for $30.00. Thanks curtis
  20. Flowerseller that's awesome that you know your water parameters and can identify why those changes have taken place. You know your tanks Curtis
  21. I just wanted to thank everyone who responded and those links are very helpful. I'm not sure how to do the quote thing. I might Have made a mistake in the feeding it is less than a 1/4 cup but i would say = to 6 or 7 cubes a day.so It's still to much. So i will reduce my feeding. I going through allot of upgrades on my system right now. (NEW sump, litre meter doser for kalk stirrer and a calcium reactor. I'm working with Jeff to help pay off some of this stuff. I might have to build a 6'X 5"X 18" fuge do you think that will be large enough to take the nitrates down. My sump is to narrow for a fuge Jeff Says so i will have to build it on top of the tank as a different system. Curtis
  22. I directly feed 2 days a week silversides.and then what else floats to them>
