Have some stuff from ERC coming at of the end of the week. Can't wait!

On the cyano : I wasn't running the wp10, I had 4 fish and no clean up crew, and I was busy with a lot of travel from before thanksgiving till last week, so maintenance was practically 0

Good luck to everyone in the storm!

Wow, good to know. I wonder what it would do with corals in the tank?

Snow is coming!

Rehype recommended to use it, and he used it on a fully stocked tank.

His most recent FTS. I think chemi clean is safe for a stocked tank. :)

Wow. That is impressive. Did you do regular dose and instructions? Any mods?

Just followed the directions. 1 scoop per 10 gallons.

Fascinating. Definitely good to see work like that.

It is truly amazing what it did in 48 hours.

Brad I LOVE this!

Looks awesome. Can't wait to see it progress.

Thanks!

Richard sent me some stuff today.

Very cool. I've been following the same guy on Reef Central as well. He's a good bonsai artist. I've been growing 6 mangroves in a refugium setup for about a year now and it is slow going. Just started to develop some ramification. I've read that growth rates are significantly slower in SW than FW. I'm going to try to acclimatize one of the trees to FW this Spring and set it out in a muddy pot for the summer to see what kind of growth I can get.

Clipped back to first bud, new branch development takes about a month to take off:

Nice. I need to start pruning mine. Staring to grow too high.

This weekend I am gonna look into creating a rain ato that will also clean the salt off the mangroves.

That sounds like an awesome idea. I'm going to try mangroves again in the new tank, hopefully I'll have some of your success with them.

I have debated trimming mine... i have had them for 2 years.. but they are slooow growing... especially with my limited lighting

How did those ones I gave you end up doing again? I know they weren't in the best shape since they went through some serious neglect before giving them to you.

As long as you keep the mangroves salt free and have decent light, they will take off.

The combo of this 70w halide and no clean up crew/dirty water are making mine grow like crazy. Lighting is key

They all ended up close to dead, and then I gave them to somebody else, who I think lost them. They might as well have been in a trash bag when i took them out I think.

how long did it take before the bare shoots sprouted leaves? i've had mine for 2 weeks and nothing has happened.

Looks super nice.  You going to have a challenge keeping that Mame overflow clean since it sits right under the lights, it seems.

Edit: Actually, I think this one has a canister, not a sump, right?

All these mangroves have been in the tank since the start. But they took a while to recover. I would say they've all been healthy for maybe 3-4 weeks now.

Looks awesome Brad! Love the bangaiis chilling in the mangroves :)

Thanks!

You are the mangrove whisperer.

dirty water and good light = mangrove success

Correct, these are just lily pipes to a canister. I am going to order a few extra cheap sets on ebay so i can have a clean rotation going.
