ridetheducati February 18, 2013 February 18, 2013 One of my Tunze streams died a few months ago and I am thinking of trying the "possible" Stream and Vortech killer. 3500 gph for $85 and it include a controller. Free three inch Yellow Tang to anyone who can guess the product first. I will post the name and respective link to the product at 9pm EST, unless one lucky hobbyist can accurately guess.
Origami February 18, 2013 February 18, 2013 Wow Jebo wp-40 Is it the wp 40? Not heard of it, but nice specs. I wonder how durable it will be. http://www.fish-street.com/jebo_wp-40_13000l_wave_maker Where will you get it from?

Tunze's infringement! I have a Jebo protein skimmer! works pretty good. I am very interest on how good this thing perform!
ridetheducati February 18, 2013 Author February 18, 2013 Winner, winner, chicken dinner. Chad and Collegeman, You two need to decide how to split the Tang. I am going to place an order this week for one unit.
collegeman February 18, 2013 February 18, 2013 Yes!!! I finally won something on wamas. I would like the front half Chad. Just kidding. You can have the tang. ridetheducati, let us know more about the power head once you receive it.
flooddc February 18, 2013 February 18, 2013 From Hong Kong? I wonder is it even legal to own it here in US! Can't believed the review call it a Chinese Vortech! Yeah! love to hear how it turn out.
Chad February 18, 2013 February 18, 2013 Lol... Long drive from vb . I too will pass! I think it's funny.
scott711 February 21, 2013 February 21, 2013 I found some posts on RC from a couple of people that have installed them on their tanks: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2259644 http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2265150
ridetheducati February 21, 2013 Author February 21, 2013 There are several videos on Youtube as well. So far, I like what I am reading. Waiting for someone to confirm the size of the WP-40. Also, a WP-20 model will be hitting the streets in a few weeks. Supposed to be half the size and flow of the WP-40. Some say that there is a slight hum during the ramp-up and down during the reef crest mode. I plan to run the pump at 100% all day every day anyway.
ArtFully Acrylic (Adam B) February 21, 2013 February 21, 2013 Looks potentially promising...if only people figure out a way through PWM or voltage regulation to alter the power output. Seems as is that it will provide way too much flow for most tanks less than 120gal or so or have to be restricted to the non wave action mode that allows power variability. I will be watching the further developments though for sure.

Six foot and above tanks.
hlem February 21, 2013 February 21, 2013 These Chinese pumps will not put out the labeled output. I got something that states it will output 3000gph max flow. but it's hardly enough for a 40gallon breeder. The wave feature is nice however.

hlem February 21, 2013 February 21, 2013 So, Ha, do you have one? not this exact one. but something with similar rating and controller, but much bigger in size too, been like over 2 years now, i'll have to look it up when i get home.

Have you seen the review videos? One pump is moving a lot of water in a six foot tank.

camelcruiser March 4, 2013 March 4, 2013 Did anyone ever get one of these? Just curious about a review.
ridetheducati March 5, 2013 Author March 5, 2013 I will review in a couple of weeks. Need to finish one project at a time.
wade March 5, 2013 March 5, 2013 People seem to be missing the fact that its just another powerhead... The cable is in the tank (hence, it isn't designed anything like a Vortech) and is a major risk - it will most likely not be UL listed. Definitely check into that. The beauty of the vortech is in the lack of electrical lines in the tank and correspondingly reduced heat and internal space consumption. Not to say it won't move water, but this isn't unique.
Der ABT March 5, 2013 March 5, 2013 i do like the cord not in the tank heat transfer i actually am liking these day ...free heater..your already paying for it to move might as well use the heat...i can see in the summer if you have heat issues but i havent had to deal with that and hopefully wont. definately an interesting pump...id try this over a koralia anyday....and maybe soon.... look forward to the review
