Origami August 21, 2013 Author August 21, 2013 I mistakenly thought the top picture (from July) was a current picture. So the next two blurry pictures are the same coral, just two months later? Wow. That's crazy growth even if you were neglecting them somewhat and have lost some color.
hlem August 21, 2013 August 21, 2013 It was July of 2012, so more than a year. So growth is pretty sad.... But with neglect, it still managed to survive this long,

Leishman October 9, 2013 October 9, 2013 I grew this colony from a single polyp (~ 2-3mm) that I got from Jonh Nguyen, AKA Mr. Miyagi from Miyagi Tort fame. The colonly was 10+" before my melt down Melt down begins

Leishman October 9, 2013 October 9, 2013 No. I remember tossing the whole thing in the trash along with the red table. Here's the last of that before it hit the trash (thankfully 90% of WAMAS have this one)

Jason Rhoads October 15, 2013 October 15, 2013 So, I am giving this a shot. I will document progress here. Single polyp frag made on 10/10/2013 from a light blue acro. I waited till now to post because I wanted to ensure the frag was viable. For the last two nights I have seen the polyp extending after lights out, so I think it has a shot
Supernova26 October 15, 2013 October 15, 2013 Very cool. Are you dipping the cut part in iodine to avoid infections.
Jason Rhoads October 16, 2013 October 16, 2013 Very cool. Are you dipping the cut part in iodine to avoid infections. I did not, only because I don't have any iodine. I am giving the frag good flow which helps with healing, so hopefully it will stay healthy.
Jason Rhoads January 6, 2014 January 6, 2014 Wanted to update this, my single polyp frag did not make it. It didn't have the staying power to recover after falling from the frag rack into the palys below. :(
