zygote2k September 20, 2009 September 20, 2009 Those are zoas, not palys. Looks like Gorilla Nipples.
Jan September 20, 2009 September 20, 2009 ??? No, Gorilla nipples have orange centers. Joker colors are green and purple. Joker palys http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...sa%3DN%26um%3D1 Gorilla nipples http://www.zoaid.com/index.php?module=Gall...p;g2_itemId=180 Those are zoas, not palys. Looks like Gorilla Nipples.
zygote2k September 20, 2009 September 20, 2009 according to the description of the 'joker palys', the picture by the OP doesn't resemble them. FWIW, the picture quality is too poor to get an accurate ID.
L8 2 RISE September 20, 2009 September 20, 2009 fwiw, the majority of zoa's are just some random zoa that people have attached the name to because the morph looks similar to the pic on zoaid.com. I learned a little while ago not to bother with zoa names unless you recieve it from someone that can actually truly tell you what it is. I don't know how the H-E-double hockey sticks this looks like gorilla nipples and i have to agree that they are zoa's not paly's and I don't see how they are joker paly's. Sure, they look "similar" to Joker paly's, so if you want to sell them, advertise them as "similar" to joker paly's...
Jan September 20, 2009 September 20, 2009 Hmmm, maybe they're purple hornets http://www.rarezoanthids.com/tag/purple-zoanthids/ Eric when you get a chance look at the pics and let us know which, if any, your zoas or palys resemble. they look very nice to me. LMK if you're willing to part with 1 or 2. J I have some of these growing in my tank. Not sure where they came from, think they were attached to some rubble i bought. Jan October 20, 2009 October 20, 2009 These look a lot like these "neon eyes mix" http://coralpedia.com/index.php?module=Gal...p;g2_itemId=898
Sugar Magnolia October 20, 2009 October 20, 2009 IMO, people attach names to zoas so they can charge more money for them. I pay no attention to the names, I just buy the ones I think are pretty/interesting.

zygote2k October 20, 2009 October 20, 2009 THEY ARE NOT "GORILLA NIPPLES"!! I'm sorry, I meant to say they were monkey nipples.
L8 2 RISE October 20, 2009 October 20, 2009 gorilla nipples again. I'll bet you 20 bucks they're not . (Im serious though)
Sugar Magnolia October 20, 2009 October 20, 2009 isn't this true for 90% of all corals on the open market? Yes. It annoys me.
