SteveM January 4, 2009 January 4, 2009 I picked up a beautiful Potters Angel from BRK and thought I post up some pics. He's in my frag tank now and doing great. I also just got a top down photo box so I thought I would take some new tank pics as well. Hope you like.....
octopus January 4, 2009 January 4, 2009 Geeeez! She is gorgeous! I want one.....how much did you pay????
epleeds January 4, 2009 January 4, 2009 that is one H-E-double hockey sticks of a frag tank.....your main display must be unreal.....
DDiver January 4, 2009 January 4, 2009 those are actually pictures of his display not the frag tank..very nice btw..thanks for sharing Steve..
jason the filter freak January 4, 2009 January 4, 2009 dude awesome shots!!! how long have you had that potters angel? congrats on an outstanding tank
SteveM January 4, 2009 Author January 4, 2009 Thanks everyone. The Potters is in my frag tank but the other pics are of my main tank. It is 110g tall. The Potters is not a very expensive fish but they can be difficult to keep. This one was pretty shy at first but it really didn't take long for it to start coming out. I think the main reason for that is that in the frag tank I only have a Scopias tang and a pair of B&W clowns so there isn't really anything to bother it. I actually put the Potters in less than a week ago.
Leishman January 4, 2009 January 4, 2009 when ever you frag the one below the yellow tort (looks like a sarmentosa) and this one let me know. Is that my red table in some of those pics? Awesome growth
SteveM January 4, 2009 Author January 4, 2009 when ever you frag the one below the yellow tort (looks like a sarmentosa) and this one let me know. Is that my red table in some of those pics? Awesome growth That is a sarmentosa, it's green with orange tips. For some reason it has been a very slow grower for me. I have another one that is a little different color that has grown very well. I will let you know when I frag a piece though. The other coral you mentioned is yellow with purple tips and I have fragged it a couple of times. The red table is from Reefer Madness and I got it as a small one inch frag.
lhcorals January 5, 2009 January 5, 2009 Very nice tank, you should be proud . How long has your tank been up?
octopus January 5, 2009 January 5, 2009 What are you shooting those pics with? They are horrible......JK!
SteveM January 5, 2009 Author January 5, 2009 I almost bought that potters two weeks ago. Its a big one! Chris, there were a couple of them there. This was the smaller one.
mling January 6, 2009 January 6, 2009 I noticed a Flame Angle in the tank. Does the potter get long with it ? Thought u could not put 2 pympy Angles in the same tank. I have a Flame Angle and have been wondering if I can add another pymgy Angle.
SteveM January 6, 2009 Author January 6, 2009 The Flame and the Potters are in two different tanks. You can have more than one in a tank if the tank is big enough. When I first got the flame I also put in a Coral Beauty and they managed to get along okay. The Coral Beauty died quite some time ago and I never put another one in the tank. All pics were taken with my Nikon D80 with a 18mm-70mm VR lens.
Pat_13 January 6, 2009 January 6, 2009 Very nice. Looks like you neet to frag, I mean trim some of those corals.
MisterTang January 6, 2009 January 6, 2009 Your setup is more impressive than some exhibits at the Baltimore Aquarium...!
