Thanks WAMAS. It only cost me a few dollars to get that title.

I would have been doing back-flips if my Master's cost me 30 bones to get.... ;)

Yeah, you and me both. $60K is what mine is costing me.

Shoot, I was all ready for a big congrats... now you only get a note that it's great to have you around so much!

What part of

" Board Stalker/Spammer extraordinar = D"

Did you miss there son?

I'm also a full time college student and work close to 40 hours each week.

how on earth do you manage to post so much?

yea thats impressive i cant even think of that much to say

A whole lot of very short posts.

I got paid to get mine :)

Where I went, they only paid if you were getting a PhD (not the whole school but the division I was in was like that).

But I didn't spen 60K on mine (thank God). I was able to walk away with only ~16K.

college is meaningless if you can't get a job that pays enough for you to pay off the loans it took to go

college is meaningless if you can't get a job that pays enough for you to pay off the loans it took to go

That's why you go for the hard sciences!!!

Rock on Bio (like me), Chem, and Physics majors! It's people like us who make freshmen in college say "It's not worth that trouble" and become acting majors ;)

1,000 posts in a year or more seems crazy.... then you see a BUNCH of people on RC with 30,000 posts or more. That is a sickness. Makes me want to shake em and say: "GO OUTSIDE."

people who spend more time posting about reefing than reefing

I'm sorry, but I highly disagree with this statement. When alot of people go back to school to pursue a higher education (masters, PhD, or even undergrad), many do it because they believe they've found their calling in life. I can think of plenty of professions where the pay isn't that great (teachers, social workers, prosecutors), but plenty of people make the commitment because they don't want just another job, they want a career that can be proud of and be happy with for a lifetime.

Truth be told, I wont make anywhere near what a doctor does. True I'm going to come out quite a bit in debt, but I'm not in it just for the monetary rewards. This past Wednesday I was on a "code team" for a 60 year old man that went into cardiac arrest up on the floors. All I really did was chest compressions, but it felt so good when we brought the guy back to life. Even better was the tear-filled hugs that the the wife gave us all afterwards, not to mention the huge homemade cake she brought us the following day. Like I said, not all rewards come in monetary form ;)

my degree is in social work, and that was my "second calling"... i changed majors from microbiology

Same with me...that's why I told them I was there for my PhD ;)
