  1. Aqua Euro nano skimmers are the shiznit, like I told you before dude
  2. I would use 1 of each of the bioptim and biodigest each week for a month then once every 2 weeks. if youre Lps and softies dont like it after 6 weeks then it means the water is too clean so cut back to once aq month Sean PS I use this stuff at least once a month on all maintenance tanks to keep things tidy.
  3. It takes a little while to really work but it does work very well and once you get the slime gone and your nutrient levels lowered you can reduce the frequency of dosing. I like using the bioptim and biodigest b/c when used together it actually raises ORP naturally. What size tank do you have? Sean
  4. prodibio is natural and better IME Sean
  5. I'd stay away from Current. IMEnd HO

  9. I actually sold the other blue carpet an hour ago. Plenty of these zoas to go around!!! Were doing our best to keep getting the best stock that we can. Thanks for posting pics Francis, we ALL know corals look better in your tanks than in mine Sean
  10. looks great dude!
  11. Jan- I'd be careful putting SPS that close to it, that type of chalice (mycedium, maybe) is a real stingah. Have you had any problems with that in your tank? i remember it taking out an acan when i had those here.
  12. I still have 2 hoeksemai
  13. Thanks for your input I usually get these in quite frequently. I said i'd hold it, it was sold by mistake, these things happen. regards, Sean
  14. laydown the law? come on guys this is a hobby for you and a business for me, I tried to hold it but nothing's on hold indefinately until its paid for....if I held something everytime someone wanted it held until it was convenient for them to come pay for it id have tanks full of corals and no capital. my apologies to Billy, "but lay down the law" i think thats an over reaction. IME live foods, fresh or salt is a good way to introduce pathogens. Have your water tested by a couple of different test sets, theres bound to be something stressing them out to cause a tank wide spread.

  17. being deep water fish sometimes they are decompressed improperly and this leads to Nitrogen accumulating in the blood, typically you'll see it in the fins first b/c( from what ive read) the blood vessels are very thin as is the tissue there and they begin to fray b/c of a lack of O2 in the blood. Ive seen it hundreds of times with anthias in particular. It can cause death, hope for the best and keep him well fed....I hope I'm wrong in this case, good luck. Sean
  18. thats really quite constructive! You have an eye for aquascaping. Sean
  19. Revive coral cleaner or Kent's Tech D Coral Dip work great. Hunter, I believe the stuff I gave you was the Kent Tech D
  20. Im gunna go ahead and say it here, ONLY prearranged sales and trades please and thank you Sean
  21. Thats great, however Tom, and by using the same test kit you would know this, but the cotton filter step removes most particles . And if he is saying that I should be able to see the mag sediment than after that cotton filter step i could not see anything but clear water. So my assumption would be that yes some particulate magnesium precipitate does come through the effluent but two things: #1 like you said does its dissociate into the water column? right? And #2 since ive filtered all of the mag sediment through a step in the test my reading should only be of Ionic MAG, correct? Thanks for looking into it Tom Sean
  22. Ok so i did a little test on my Aqua Medic kalkstirrer with Brightwell Kalk +2 in it. I collected around 3mL of effluent, waited 15 mins for the sediment to settle, then decanted 1mL of the effluent water(not crusty top layer in the sample and no precipitate from the bottom in the sample) added it to my magnesium test ( seachem reef status) and also added the 1mL of zero (0) TDS ro/di water because the test calls for a sample of 2mL. Anyway I ran the test and I got about 1000mg/L of magnesium. I should add that one of the steps in this brand of test kit actually precipitates most if not all of the calcium as to reduce or eliminate calcium interference in the test. So answer me this, how would i get 2000mg/L of magnesium in my effluent if the MAG precipitate in the kalkstirrer and never leaves the chamber b/c you say it is not soluble. Also, just to be sure seachem provides a reference sample to check the accuracy of the reagents and the test is spot on. Sean
  23. Looks better in your tank then mine, GEEESH! thanks for the good report, it's always a pleasure to meet nice folks like you. Sean
