  1. in my 55gl i do 10gl every other week
  2. the Genicanthus melanospilus or blackspot angels are very nice looking and somewhat common also the watanabea are becomming a little more common is LFS also i have only seen bellus on wholesale lists and at roozens. or you could just go all out and find a pair of genicanthis personatus whihc should only put you back several thousnad dollars should you actually be able to locate them. all in all i think these angles are great fish and a must have in each of my tanks. also most species live in trios or herums in the wild
  3. if it were my tank i would probably go with something like ... pair of genicanthis angels (probably bellus or watanabea) pair of clowns trio of anthias atleast one zebrasoma tang (yellow,purple,black,desjardini.....) and since i beleive yo u mentioned the tank os covered may a fairy wrasse or two
  4. it may be a bit much for a 55 but if you turn it down and point it at the galss you should be ok
  5. i have 2 820's and 2 2600's in my 125 they are pretty good pumps and a decent cheap alternitave to tunze although i do think they overrate the GPH a little all in all i like them but its probably a good idea to clean them every few months or so. i dont and the 820's tend to lock up sometime but just taked a little tap on the side to get them goping again i got my 2600's at macna from champion lighting for $75ea
  6. looks like majano to me i would get them out of there asap
  7. great pics it was like being there all over again ecspecially since i saw my self in the seahorse presentation pic
  8. everything i have gotten from them has died i got a pair of watanabea angels and they died 2 weeks later and like an idiot i ordered from them again just the male this time and it was dead in the bag so they replaced it and the replacement one died 2 weeks later needles to say i will never order from them again
  9. i have had decent success with joes juice and that way you dont have to remove the rock
  10. if your looking to drill it anyway why not empty it drill it and move it all at once
  11. from what i understand he was not able to find it locally ( the white colour that is ) so thats why eh is goiung that route
  12. set up the new one but use all of your rock and move it as fast as possible to minimze the die off thats the way i moved mine there was a small algae bloom after the switch but was well worth not moving it

    naso

i personally woundt put a naso in anything shroter then a 6 foot tank(once it gets a little bigger) the naso and acanthurus species of tangs really need space unlike zebrasoma who can be in smaller tanks (although some will diagree with that also ) as far as getting along with the othere tang i would say 50/50 i have a desjardini and a yellow togethere and a hippo and kole together but all fish ahve diferent attitudes
  14. i have to agree with trying to buy local first its definetly the way to go and i try to buy local at all costs unless its for something rare (mostly fish) and then i will order online
  15. yeah liveaquaria is the way to go for fish
