I have done some reading on these and the look pretty darn impressive. I am really considering buying one but would like to know what other thkn that are useing them.

I recently got a glass tank from glasscages and am very happy with it. Theyarent local but you can pick it up when they come to town for a show or drop off. I perfer glass much better then acrilic as there is a lot less chance of me acidently scrathing it

I have used both of those place and been very pleased. Infact i just place an order with air water ice. Membranes are usually good for about 2 years or so if you regularly change your other filters.

Great looking tank! I really like the emporer and want to put one in my new 300. Do you have may acros or clams ? how is he with them if you do? My 300 will be all SPS and clams

Large angels are very hit or miss. I have had 2 chrysurus one was fine and the other ate every coral in the tank. In my opinion i wouldnt keep any large angels wit hany softys or LPS. Most large angels that i have seen seem to do best in a SPS tank. There are definetly aceptions to the rule like i said they are very hit or miss. If you decide to add one just keep in mind there is a chance you may have to get it out

I used about 100lb from www.reeferrocks.com. I used them because when you oredr they send you a picture of your order to make sure the rocks are the shapes you want. Once you get the pic you can swap out the pieces you dont want for ones that are more the shape you want. Awesome people to deal with. Also if remember they ship quickly and your rock are here in just a few days. Im getting ready to set up a 300gl tank so ill be calling them again

you can also put a T on the intake with strainers on each end. that way you now have 2 intakes

i had one for a year and it worked great never had a problem with it. i just dont think the reflectors in them are very good and you loose light since its not directed into the tank very well which is why i sold mine and switched to mogul bulbs in lumenarcs

water changes will bring it down some. what are you using to suplement alk and calc

if you want a nicely priced and very good in sumo skimmer take a look at the ASM skimmers

usuall time frame is 10-12 months

my system is about 200gl or total volume and i do about 20 gallon a week

you may have no problems at all . but when i had mine and tried to add things to the tank he usually was very agressive ecspecially to fish his size or smaller he didnt mess with any new tangs or angels but i tried to add a fathead anthias and he had all his fins ripped off in no time.

add the neon dottyback last they can be very mean also keep an eye on any shrimp you may add as they like to kill shrimp sometimes
