  1. I would stay away....I have heard of horror stories of people trying to get them out of their reef.......a beautiful fish though..... Darren
  2. Thanks all, they look more blue in the shot as they are under lower light and only lit by blue LEDS........I will have a FTS soon when I start my tank build journal...... cheers, Darren
  3. I thought I would show off a macro shot of my purple hornets under LEDS..... cheers, Darren
  4. Oops, sorry I missed that.......personally, I am not a big fan of the herbie method....but to each his or her own....... Darren
  5. Wow, I can't wait to see this bad boy up and running! Darren
  6. Happy New Year Wamas! Darren
  7. I would stick with the 1.5 inch....the larger the return the less noisy it will be! cheers, Darren
  8. Nice Pico Jan! What type of maintenance does it require? cheers, Darren
  9. You gotta love those anemone shrimp....... Darren
  10. I love this thread! I now look forward to it every year.....A WAMAS Christmas tradition...... Merry Christmas everyone, Darren
  11. Looks nice Nam.......especially that dendro =) Darren
  12. I would run a fuge even if you can't make it very large........it will help absorb phosphate and nitrate and can help buffer the pH if you run it on a reverse night schedule. Making one is easy.....all you need is a bucket (or you can get real elaborate.....it all depends upon how much effort you want to put into it). cheers, Darren
  13. Buy one of these from zero edge tanks (this is the same one that Travis purchased from me).....they look nice and they have a base that sits on the ground so they don't have to hold too much weight. The brace attached to the wall below your tank so you don't see it.... cheers, Darren
  14. Sweet tank Jan......Does the regal pick at your LPS and softies? Darren
  15. OK, let's see the Bowser.........I know DDIVER is bitter that he cant' get one Darren
  16. Hi Jan, I am getting a custom cerameco rock built for me, I believe it should arrive next week.....if you want to stop by and take a look to see the quality of the rock let me know..... I had one shipped to me already, but it broke into a bunch of pieces during shipping.......hopefully this one will make it! cheers, Darren
  17. If you post the IMG code for the image it will put the picture in the post ........cools pic though cheers, Darren
  18. I agree with previous posters......that said,I would be careful with some chemical media.....I know reefers with really nice tanks that lost a lot of livestock from a massive dose of phosphate remover. I think the large dose dropped the alk and hence the pH causing a quick demise of his SPS. I always half what the recommended dose amount is for a given volume. No need to rush to get your phosphates down......you are better off changing the media more often and slowly drop the levels in the tank IMO. cheers, Darren
  19. You can put Joe's juice on them (or some equivalent) to try to control them.......I do this to control Zoanthids that grow too fast..... Darren
