  1. I've always order from Liveaquaria for their selections and most importantly the 14 day refund policy no matter how difficult the fish is, about half of my fish don't make it within the 14 day window when i first start out saltwater fishkeeping and i always get my money back no question ever asked.
  2. Not sure if you have seen this video yet or not, I couldn't really see his whole plumbing layout but I am guessing the tank drains down to the refugium and then to the sump via gravity fed so no pumps are needed, am I right?
  3. I would love to turn it into a fuge but i dont know much about plumbing and drilling glass, if you turning yours into one plesae give me some info and take some pics. As for now , im just using a small plastic basket with rocks and macroalgae in the skimmer section. The Red Sea ato resevoir is in the garage lol. Good luck man !
  4. I just went the same route also on my Red Sea 250 Reefer system, Im dosing kalk in the top off water so i think the float switch and tubing is clogged up or something. I am now using a 5g jug with the Smart ATO that i have laying around, no more filling up the tiny 2g every 1.5 day.
  5. Here u go John ! Btw... the gold hammer says “Hi”
  6. How about a pink spot goby ? They’re a little bigger than the normal goby but doesn’t move much and always in front , lots of characters.
  7. I have the Curve 5 for my Red Sea Reefer 250 and I love it, my water level is a couple inches lower than the suggested height for the skimmer but i have no problem so far. I bought it used from a Wamas member here so it is at least a year old.
  8. He said if both pump goes out its ok because the sump is able to hold the water from the 45g tank and the 80g tub would hold its own because the the tub is sitting low on the floor so it doesnt have an overflow, the return pump in the 80g tub is actually lifting water water up to his 45g. Disaster only happen when one of the return pump is not working. Thanks
  9. Thanks guys ! So after further investigation this is how he plumbed his tank. 45g tank drains down to the sump, return pump in the sump push water out to his 80g rubbermaid tub which is his other so called 'tank" and the 2nd return pump is in a corner of the tub push water back in to his 45g tank. Don't ask me why he does it like that lol...he is keeping freshwatter fish. The sump is quite small ( about 30g ) so that's why he so worry. Thanks , any suggestions or different ideas is greatly appreciated. So basically : tank 1 => sump=> tank 2=> tank 1
  10. So... I have a friend who is plumbing 2 tanks into one sump so basically the water is circulating between the 2 tanks and a sump, he asked me if there is anything he can do to in case one return pump failed since he is using 2 return pumps. he doesnt want water spilling on to the water if one of the pump is faulty or not working at all. What can he do to prevent that? Thanks in advance.
  11. Cool ! Thank you, I am in Silver Spring also so I can pick up anytime.
  12. Hi! When are the salt be available for pick up? Thanks
  13. I had an SCA 80g a couple years back and sold it when i moved. Its no Red Sea but I like it alot for its price, solid made.
  14. Thanks man ! Good luck with your set up.
  15. Beautiful tank man! You should trim that red macro and sell it sometimes. I would be all over it...lol.
  16. I really have no wire management at all, I just tucked all the wires behind the stand since the tank is againts the wall so not much showing as far as wires are concerns. My full list of equipment are below. Red Sea Reefer 250 with Red Sea sump and filter mesh socks and Red Sea ATO float switch. SCA 301 Skimmer ( a liltle on the small size but i need a small footprint skimmer to fit my fuge basket) 250W heater Jecod Return pump 400 ( Very quite and has a cover for snails) 2-MP40QDs.
  17. Thanks man ! The tank is awesome !! You will love yours !! The sump is a bit on the small side and I a using a smaller skimmer because I want fit a fuge basket in there with macro algae and rocks. Let me know if u have any more question in setting it up. Good luck with your tank ! Also, I am using the AI HMS brackets.
  18. Yes they are man ...its perfect..so far ..lol
  19. Just a few pics of my 1 week old Red Sea Reefer 250. Loving it so far and it's super quite and high quality set up, was going to go with 2 MP10QDs but some says it may not work with the thick glass so decided to go with 2 MP40QDs and turning it all the way down lol.
