  1. looks like you made a lot of progress, great job!
  2. PVC all the way. Harder to work with, but no connections will pop.
  3. True, no chicken and waffles, I have to have a beach body in a couple weeks (yea, like that is going to happen ). You were provided with fresh coffee......so you got that going for you....which is nice. Good seeing you, no problem anytime.
  4. +1 load is all on the screws, not the corner posts. If you remove the center brace, you might have problems. You also don't really have anything for sheer forces, you need to ad something diagonal in the corners, or a sheet of plywood across the back. I am not an engineer.....just IMO Add diagonal supports, add 2 x 4 posts under the outer rim, and you might be ok.
  5. Flooddc: "I searched and really there no proof or dis-proof that saltwater damage septic. Same with neutralizer and water softener. Some claimed that backwash damage septic and other claimed it doesn't. So it all came down to, whether you comfortable flushing stuffs into the septic. I am learning from You! always overkill to be safe." One thing I didn't think of till you mentioned it is the water softener (I think that is what it is, don't have a well, but I know there are 50lb bags of it in the isle at HD.), basically that is pure salt. So if you have well water and a septic field you are already dumping hundreds of pounds of salt in your field every year..
  6. Me.......not consistently but I have a pic of my 1979-84 tank with nems in it. I have a Sonny Jurgensen Natural Light beer add from 81' on the wall and an April 1983 stamp on the back of the 3.5" x 3.5" picture with rounded corners.....remember those! Both Mag and Eheim are good, have them both, Eheim are quieter. H is actually older...just to let you know,I am not an old man like him
  7. I researched this and came up with the feeling that the saltwater will not hurt it. I am going to be running almost 500g of saltwater and am not worried about it with my septic. Supposedly laundry detergent and dish washing soap both have high salt content.
  8. Great job In the end where those weld are you will never really see them once it is full and running.
  9. Yea not exactly the best wordsmithing. I also had to read it part by part
  10. Walt- Not sure what is up with your pump. My new Hammerhead is very quiet (for moving 6000gph) . Ask Rob.
  11. Great job Walt! How many gallons of water do you have for the seahorse so far?
  12. I was thinking one piece that maybe is 4"-5" tall and had more height then width stuck 1/3 of the way in on the left side of the right outcrop (got it ). Looks like there is a piece or two pieces on top of that large base rock. Put it on top of that. Just a thought.
  13. I like the stand alone rock. Maybe make one outcrop taller then the other? IMO
  14. H- where is this tank? Heading out, don't have time to read it all. Any other items?
  15. I did too much Port forwarding Sat night. The Port went forward from the glass thru my lips and over my tongue...I was hung over the next day.
  16. John, How did you get my High School Yearbook picture? Seriously, this is how I feel when it comes to anything with computer stuff where a file is involved. I have been spoiled with basically a full time computer programmer / secretary / wife who has made my life very easy starting 20 years ago when it comes to anything computer related. I ask, and it gets done. So I am little dense when it comes to anything I don't already know on a computer. So when it comes time for an Apex........I am not going to be happy.
  17. I have never owned one, Xbox for my kids was the first. I had to go to an arcade to play Galaga when I was a kid. Man I was good! That would be great! Are you able to post them in my gallery...Mr Moderator? Give me a day or so to clean up. I will text you about times. Thanks
