  1. I like the back wall! what is it make of, and how did you make it?
  2. That looks sweet! Are you going to attach corals directly to the travertine?
  3. You cleaned!!! looks great, I bet your girlfriend is thrilled!! Now I know those walls can come down or you are going to have a little issue with maintenance.
  4. Marcos- You have done just an amazing job with your entire project. I really enjoy reading the details on how you came up with solutions to make your system redundant, simple, and elegant. I can't wait to see the details (pics) on your ATO / AWC system and how you and Justin came up with a solution. One of my wife's rules for my system is that I don't spend a lot of time with maintenance once I get it up and running so I am able to leave the house!
  5. Adam- Motti's tank has some great details, I am glad we talked about the black acrylic in the back corners for my overflows, I think it will make it look a lot cleaner like Motti's. I love how Motti's tank sits in the corner with the end view and no view of the plumbing. Looking the length of the tank is one of my favorite views.
  6. I dropped by Adam's this afternoon to check out his place and I saw your tank and sump today! Man is that a sweet tank!! The joints look gorgeous! Very impressed with Adam's build. All I have heard is great stuff about what he creates. If he didn't get the tank there tonight it was partially because they had a shipment of fish come into Dulles that he had to go get. So last week I had him over, we talked about my plans, and I put a deposit down on a 96 x 30 x 24 300 gal. It will have exterior overflows on both ends and the tank will be 1 foot out of the wall into the room and the rest in the new fish room that I am building. I wish I could do it like yours, but I have a steel column in the way on the corner I would have to use. Stay tuned for a build thread! Monti, you are going to have a awesome tank, sump, and control system by the looks of it. I am following along to make sure I don't make any mistakes.
  7. Wait a second, I just started following your build and am only up to page 7....... two things, one ...I have 29 pages to go!. Two you still have not installed that tankless water heater! I have a little catching up to do. I just joined (again) in the Fall before the Fall meeting (belonged in 05-07 when we had MACNA in Crystal City then moved and had to break down my tank). I have really enjoyed reading your build thread along with many others while trying to get ideas and make sure I don't mess up what I want to do. So far I have met some really nice and very helpful people. i look forward to when I am able to contribute a build thread.
