  1. With the exception of when they pick at my fungias and scolys, I think these guys do a great job in my tank. I much prefer a bunch of hermits over a few emeralds like I've had in the past. I keep both snails and hermits with success, but I feed heavy, which is probably why that works.
  2. I google searched for information on this topic and found absolutely nothing, which was pretty surprising. So I picked up some Roggers food over the weekend and have been using this week. The first time I used it, I thawed it in half a cup of tank water, then added a little bit at time to the tank with a dosage syringe. I should note that during feeding time I turn my two MP10's down as far as they go, but not off. So, within 15 minutes of feeding, my skimmer went bonkers and flooded within minutes. I did a little bit of reading and it seems people highly recommended feeding Roggers with the use of one of those feeding nets on a suction cup. Unfortunately, I didn't have one of these but was able to make one that worked out of a piece of clear DIY screen top material and a seaweed clip. So I fed this way with everything else the same, but got the same result. Then I thought, well darn, maybe I need to feed this stuff with my skimmer off. So I used the feeding net, and fed with my skimmer off. 30 minutes after feeding I turned my skimmer on and what do you know, it starts overflowing again. What the heck could be going on? Now, before anyone says it's just my skimmer being weird, it also did the same thing when I fed my frag tank with it. And when I say I fed my frag tank, I mean I put the smallest little piece in there, maybe about the size of a sunflower seed. I really want to be able to use this food, because my fish seem to love it, and it seems my corals like it as well. I am amazed at how much my zoas are able to grab, as I can tell they're all munching on it at feeding time. What's going on here? Has anyone had this issue when feeding Roggers or any other frozen food?
  3. Welcome! As others have said, it would be well worth it to spend the $20 and become a full member. You'll save far more than that when you find the tank you want, or any supplies, fish, coral, etc..
  4. Bringing the fire.......as usual. Can't wait to see what you come back with today.
  5. Wow, Paul taught his Copperband how to clean his Mandarin........
  6. Instead of the sump, maybe you could try the idea listed above by grabbing some cheap white egg crate from Home Depot and separate the tank in half for a period of time?
  7. Did you see my question? Are these the frags you got at Frag Fest? Most of us here will know what corals you have for sale if they are, as most of us were at Frag Fest.
  8. Looking good bro. The tank looked spectacular when I was there the other day!
  9. Don't edit, just turn up the whites and turn down the blues. That's the best way to do it. For pictures I believe Richard turns the whites up to 100 and blues to 60 on his d120s. He might correct me if I'm wrong though
  10. +1 That was awesome! I'll tell you what, if someone told me they were going to have a tank that had a big Red Haddoni, a huge school of blue damsels, and a half dozen skunk clowns, I'd think I wouldn't like it at all. But for some reason I really like this. Lots of action, personality, and color. Looks great! Good job!
  11. Yep, I think some people walked away with 10-15 free frags. Some of which was really nice stuff!
  12. Just so you know, that plate coral has been dipped at least twice recently. Richard dips every coral the night he returns from hand picking, and I dipped it before putting it in my frag tank a couple days ago to hold until today just to be safe. But by all means, feel free to dip it again.
  13. Ha. The way I typically see those jacko leptos fragged, you already have like 12-15 frags!
  14. I'm still waiting to hear if these are the corals that he was given at Frag Fest...... There were some nice corals donated!
  15. Hide your children, Hide your wife............. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMtZfW2z9dw
  16. That's a nice sized jack lepto. I'm used to seeing little pieces the size of a dime all the time!
  17. I take it these are the frags you got for free at Frag Fest? Just curious......
  18. +1 Honestly, the reason I'm considering ditching my two MP10's in my display is because I think I'd rather have the Jebao's. We may or may not actually have an extra WP40 left over from the group buy too There's only two real reasons I could see why someone that has seen the performance of the Jebao's would rather have an MP40. 1. If you run MH lighting and have temperature issues as the motor is on the wet side. 2. If you really care about having "the best stuff", as in you care more about the brand name than the functionality of the equipment. Ok, I lied, one more..... 3. If you have a smaller sized tank, and need to keep your powerhead(s) as small as possible. But in that case, you'd be buying a WP25 which is much smaller. I posted a video the other day that showed the wave action I was getting in my 30g frag tank with a little WP25 on 50%.
  19. Definitely AOG's...... You're really looking at more like $5pp, but I'm sure there's people out there that would pay $10. Even at $5, you're looking at what? 60-70 polyps? So $300-$350? AOG's used to be more highly desired but the market kind of got flooded because they're great growers. With that said, they're still a must have for any zoa collector.
  20. I might be selling one of mine soon. I guess my view could be seen as biased since I might have one for sale soon, but I'd say they're a safe product to buy used. The reason being is that the "wet side" is very simple, and can be replaced for like $50. This is the only part that goes in the tank, so the rest isn't getting beat on so bad.
  21. +1 The outlet has definitely gone bad. The other question I'd ask is, are you sure that GFCI is on the same circuit as the rest of your outlets? I have seen GFCI outlets ran on their own circuit and using a separate GFI breaker. Just because it's in the same room doesn't mean it's on the same circuit. You could have a GFI breaker in your panel that needs to be reset as well. However, GFCI's seem to be failing quite a bit at right around 6 years old, so it very well could be a bad $20 outlet.
  22. Yeah right...... you'll never stop keeping Chalices!
  23. I apologize if you took my message as an attack, and realize that it was probably better suited for a PM. With that said, accusing me of trolling on boards looking to scold and flame is a little ridiculous. Honestly, while again I realized I handled it the wrong way, I was trying to help you get people to take you seriously. It looks as if you have received some over the top PM's so I guess I see why you took this as an attack, but I assure you that was not my intention. Good luck.
