I have a friend with a 150 wanting to add a sump but of course his tank is not sump-ready with overflows, etc. What is the current best-practice for getting this done? I have used glass-holes kits in the past with great success (with empty tanks) but never with a production tank. Looking for advice and stories of where you've drilled a set up tank and any issues you ran into. Thx in advance. Roscoe

Hi all, I have a 150-gallon tank that cracked and is spilling water everywhere. I am working to plug the leak but I am afraid my fish will be harmed. If anyone has a spare 150-gallon that I can use to store my fish temporarily, I would be so grateful. Regards, Ross

is there a place on here that all this info is posted? A list of who's in charge on what? My life, probably like yours, is in such turmoil w a busy job, etc., that I am not on here as much as I'd like. Some of my questions include: 1. is there a command center where we meet each day to confirm assignments, pick up details, etc.? 2. If I am volunteering for 4 days do I also need to purchase a 4 day pass for the show? 3. I just saw the part about parking, Is Metro an option? All the other questions I can't think of right now. BTW Isaac, I am fine with my schedule.

I need to purchase several heaters for a new tank build and wanted some advice. I saw the Hydor Theo Aquarium Heater 400 watts on BRS and wondered if anyone had experience with them. Thanks in advance.

I have three eheim 1262's and love them. All bought before Waveline came out. If you are ever planning to start playing with aquarium controllers get the wavelines. Just my opinion.

that is my plan as I build out my tanks. I am, however, moving from my 40 breeder sump to a 75.

I was cleaning a tank for a friend and she fussed about how dirty her plastic plants were getting. She said "the guy that used to clean my tank just used to soak them in something, but I don't know what it was. They came out so shiny!" Has anyone heard of this? She wondered later if it was a bleach solution that would kill and rinse away the algae, etc. What ideas does anyone have on how to do this?Thx Roscoe

Some of us have done just that. It uses a UPS and multiple outlet boxes to switch between power on\power off situations. Designs like this are slightly more sophisticated. There are several discussion threads on the reefangel forum just for that. Check it out and let us know if you have more questions. Thx

I ended up ordering several extra temp probes and a number of temp probe and ph cable extensions. Even being pretty close to my tanks I still needed \ wanted them.
