Found a mushroom coral eating my dragonface pipefish like it's a strand of spaghetti! For reference, the mouth of the mushroom is less than half a centimeter. Man I loved that pipefish.

Light deprivation also worked for me. 3 days and I worried about my corals but my corals were fine.

This is beautiful and really clean and that includes your sump area. All of that upper space will look amazing with growth. Any stag corals?

Good work. That is a great tank. The growth under the LED's seems impressive. Does the anemone sting or negatively affect your monti and other corals it touches?

Thanks everyone. I couldn't figure out the glow sticks comment until I watched the video, or more like listened to it. Now I want some too. It took the Clownfish about 2 minutes to notice the Anemone and about 5 minutes to start touching it. Marc, nice!

How does bonding happen between a Clownfish and Anemone? I have read about it but never seen it from the time of introduction of the two species. Since no video exists that I could find, I wanted to document by video when I introduced an Anemone to my tank that already had a Clownfish and other fish. Of course some bonding happened only with the Clownfish. I bought this Clownfish when it was very young (it had been tank bred). It was definitely exciting for me to watch and wanted to share with you. Let me know what you think.

I had a terrible problem with it. Pulling it out seemed to make it grow back faster. An electric toothbrush is awesome for doing this. However, I turned off the lights in my tank for 2 or 3 days, can't remember, and most of it died. I also changed my feeding habits but no photosynthesis really did the ob. Corals, mixed reef, didn't seem to have minded very much.

I have got a 27" hd tv/monitor I am about to put on craigslist because it's not doing much in our guest bedroom. Is 27 too big for you? Coral trades are fine if interested.

Hey guys, I have a very contemporary design project that found itself in my head. Are there any custom glass specialists out there? My idea calls for a 22" by 14" by 18" L-shaped glass piece made up of 2 pieces (22x14" and 22"x18") glued at the joint (cuts at 45% angle) but with an all glass no glue look. The picture below shows almost exactly what I was thinking about either as shown or as a sliding piece. If you have any recommendations, please let me know, as I don't think I can do this myself and so have to contract out. While asking this, any wood workers out there too? Thanks! Nishal

Very excited to see your progress. I am a fan of the Red Sea Max setups (have a 250). Make sure you have an auto top off system to keep the skimmer working well.

I run a Red Sea Max 250 complete all in one system and while it's great I want to upgrade. I am not an equipment junkie and interested more about the growth of a reef. The Elos systems look amazing as an upgrade. Anyone running one of these with all Elos components? See Elos systems here. It ain't cheap though. How does it perform? Was it worth it? Any other thoughts?
