  1. i vote for closing this thread lol:clap:
  2. i am not trying to advertise for anyone just trying to use for an example on here, but anyone here that live near congressional aquarium, visit there store on a thursday, friday, saturday, or sunday. they're usually packed. Why are they packed with customers? They're the most expensive LFS i've been too. One of the reasons i believe they're packed is because every week i see coupons for them, i get them direct mail, i see them in those local coupon magazines and i bet it has to be there location, i don't see that from any other LFS. All i get are e-mails and one would think that e-mailing is pretty limited on reaching new customers. I've had my own business before, to me it's all about adapting to the customers, adapting to economy, I wonder why mr.coral has changed his model a little bit? great topic, but at the end i think it's just how bad the owner wants to survive and how creative he/she can get.
  3. i second what hypertech said. you have good aquatic stores that are in business for a reason. because they provide overall great product great customer service and back it up with some kind of guarantee. i go to congressional aquarium every other weekend. i must say they're expensive. But you know what, they offer guarantee, great customer service, and they have pretty good stock. In business you have to adapt, it's all about how the customer wants to buy, either it be via internet, or go to store front. big chain stores know this, which is most of the time the internet pricing is cheaper, to entice the customer to buy from the internet. Just my opinion.
  4. my tank is 125 gallons, and i have the 350ml capacity reactor. But i have 2 of them and put in 1.5 cup in each one. i am running 1 cup per 50 gallons. Since i just got my 125 gallon up a little over a month ago. I don't expect to see a lot of results just yet from the biopellets. Everything that i've read said it takes about 9 - 12 weeks to actually see any results.
  5. i bought the BRS bio reactor, it's awesome for the price. make sure you have a mag 3 or equivalent and you'll need to dial it down a little bit.
  6. can i get the last 2 bags of chaeto? i'll be around manassas tomorrow.
  7. i can ask my lady if she would be the photographer. she's an amateur professional photographer, so she's got the equipment and the skills to make the good pic's. but i'd need to know definitely if you guys need a photographer or not?
  8. strippers maybe? want to make sure that fiberglass is nice and sturdy and won't crack or anything. just to be on the safe side.
  9. so finally some new pictures, just got done cycling got some fish in it. i'll be buying dry rocks next time there's a BRS group buy. Right now i have some old rocks from my other tank in there. so here it goes. some of the must do's, are the doors to the stand i still have to sand down and stain, and the hood sand down and stain. i need to hurry up put up my pendants but i can't do that until my hood is done. unless i do a temporary thing, which i might. my time is so limited right now.
  10. i always make sure that i come very close to the water turning over 10 times. so on a 135g you'd like probably 1400 but a little less would be fine, it also depends how long your lines run from the pump to the head.
  11. i am interested if still available?
  12. are you putting the 75 in the same spot where the 55 is currently located or different location?
  13. where do you live? i live in arlington i can make up some water drop it off?
  14. holy moley that's an awesome tank on that site. 20,000g geez
  15. im interested in the rocks and the cleanup crew where are you located?
  16. i have monopoly money, will they accept that form of payment?
  17. if i had this fish and paid 2500 for it and it died. i'd be beyond devastated.
  18. do you have a picture of the sunlight supply reef optix 3 fixture? i might be interested in that.
  19. Sean i'll also call you tomorrow.
  20. if that fixes my problem. i'll buy it.
  21. it did look rusty. am i just able to change the shaft magnet? or does it come with the wheel attached? i actually tried to take the magnet off and i wasn't able too.
  22. im trying to start the skimmer i bought from one of the people here. i don't even think this was fully working when i bought the darn thing. the pump is a psk-2500, and everytime i put it in the water it stops working. i take the pump out wiggle it a little and it'll start working again but it's almost like somethings in there. But i took it all apart and found nothing in there. could the wheel be to big? i need help fast please.
