So if I am using Kalk and have already mixed the first recipe(which BRS says is not to be used with Kalk), which is 5 cups of Magnesium Chloride and 3 Cups Magnesium Sulfate, what would be the negative effects?

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately i did not see the second recipe, which is for use with kalk until after I mixed and watched BRS's youtube channel.

One recipe is for using is with the two part. The other is if you use Kalk, or a reactor. The one with Kalk and reactor uses far less Magnesium Sulfate. Why is this?

Many outfits require it in order to take you snorkeling to reefs. Unfortunately there is no way to police it. Many will say they have reef safe sunblock on in order to get on the boat, but once on the boat you hear people say"what is reef safe sunblock" when they just said they had it on.

I looked at both the cheap Chinese and the flip one. From what I heard was the cheap ones arent consistant, I would hate not to have good pictures. The only issue I have seen with the flip ones is they need to be attached with screws and are not as easy to remove as the non-screw in type. I will be getting the Polar Pro shallow filter. You are more then welcome to barrow it if you ever want to.

Have you tried the new apex fusion app or website. I believe it gets rid of all this. I went through the same worries a couple months ago.

I will be going to the Puerto Morales which is near Cancun. So it will be very blue(Caribean)

They are 250w. Now that the Phoenix are available again I may reconsider any changes.

What are pros and cons of double ended metal halides vs single ended metal halides. I currently have double ended and have broken the ends of of several bulbs. Can I just switch the socket to a single end?
