For some reason, i thought Starfish will die if thier center disk (mouth)is exposed to air. I may have this wrong.

I will consider switching to IO.

What salt do you use. I have been using Oceanic for about five years. I don't have any problems with it. I believe most people use Instant Ocean and Reef Crystals. Do they cost less and give the same results?

I am interested in the first and second ones, that is if your selling frags. Maybe some others.

I was feeding when I saw them this time. Like I mentioned, this was the first time I saw them with any lights on. Have you ever seen a center disk? I have not, only legs.

I have seen thousands of these at night. This is the first time I have been able to take pictures. Are they some type of Starfish?

I am dosing Kalk.I believe the test kit I am using may be defective. Before i try anything I will get a new test kit.

Probe was calibrated in August. Ph before lights on is 8.07.

What would cause this? This is the first time I have had low dkh but good ph.

I need to raise dkh without raising ph. My ph is at 8.29 just at the point when lights go out. dkh is at 5. So I need to raise it without raising ph. I do not have a CO2 system. Calcium is at 400ppm. What is the best way to do this?

No doubt. I just ordered a 6045, but onley paid $2 more. Seems the older models, without the flow restricter, are going cheap.

I inside was modded. I cut every other piece of the outer shroud. This has increased flow a little. I put one that had all of the shroud and one that was modified, side by side, under water facing up. The one that had the shroud modified shot up about 2-3 inches higher.

I have done this as well. But if I buy the 6045 and do the mod to it will it out perform the modded 6025s?

I need to buy another powerhead. I was cosidering Tunze 6045. I found them on line for $62, compared to must selling them for $86. But when searching I came across this in a forum. "Also the 6025 and 6045 produce the exact same amount of flow after both get the modification done to them. Both have the same motor block and propeller. Only difference is the screens". Does any one know if this is true?

I thought maybe I could contact him through his site, but I don't see a way.

I have a Raspberry Limeade Acro and a Rainbow Monti that are darkening. All perameters are good. These two corals are on the right side of the tank. Everything else is doing great. Great polyp extention and growth is good on the left side but not on the right. Could it be flow. I think it is but not sure if too little or too much. Both sets of coral are almost directly below 250wt MH bulbs that are about 3 months old. These are pictures of the right side and darkening coral. You can see the placement of powerheads. It is pointed right at the coral. There is no tissue missing These pictures show the left side. Where coral is doing good.
