  2. I’ve seen it mentioned, but nothing about why, or what to do! My little guy seems as healthy as ever, but his lights seem to be almost out. They REFLECT light pretty well, which I can tell cause he leaves them uncovered a lot now, at least around feeding time, but Ive recently noticed how dim they’ve been getting, and now possibly out. It’s in my QT tank still, and I’ve never introduced any medications since the tank was set up for him, but I’m sure there’s residual copper in the rocks and everything. I didn’t think of copper as a big anti-bacterial agent! Is it? His lights didn’t start diminishing for many weeks.
  3. Hi, I have this 2.5/ 3gal fluval that has a freshwater light, I may have already posted this question somewhere else. BUT I am thinking of purchasing a Par 30 or 38 bulb on a gooseneck, with the hopes of doing softies-- generally a zoa garden with a goby- main goal but MAYBE some LPS/ SPS? depending how it goes down the road- i do not need overkill lights at the current moment. But these lights only have an on off, there is no switch to only put on the actinic. I was wondering should I get an all Actinic bulb as well, or should is there something that can provide some "moon light" at night. or is that just unnecessary all together? Here is the Bulb i was planning on, if anyone knows of a better one please let me know :-D I am trying to do this tank on a shoestring as much as possible because it is so small, i just do not want to spend hundreds of dollars on a light. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CXTZN2Q/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2TWRNEH2276JE https://www.amazon.com/LUMENTEK-Aquarium-Light-Lighting-Aquariums/dp/B01G4BRRN6/ref=sr_1_1?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1469562829&sr=1-1&keywords=par+38+reef+bulb Any opinions and recommendations appreciated.

  5. Sadly Monday Nov 30th. My Father Bill Cobb passed away. My name is Patricia and I am his daughter. I knew he loved this group and sadly we do not know how to maintain the tanks. We know he spend a lot of money and this was his favorite hobby but would love to sell to someone who can take care of the fish and also help get money for funeral cost. Located in southern maryland. 6. I got a IT2040 about 6 months ago and Ive had it over my frag tank with mixed results. At first I kept it at the factory ( I believe ERC settings) and i recently started playign around with the custom menu and trying different power settings. What im looking for is the BEST power setting specifically for an Zoa dominated frag tank, ( a few LPS frags but no SPS). I've learned no setting is perfect for all the different types of Zoas out there, but which one would be the best to accommodate the most? My parameters are where they need to be, all pretty stable, the fixture is 6 inches from the top of the tank, with the frags 6 inches below the rim, I have not been able to use a PAR metter ( waiting on it already). What do you guys suggest? I heard there is a template somewhere on RC for Zoas but I cant find it! Can someone point me if they know where it is? Or any suggestions would be appreciated!
