  1. This is a pic that i found online, as i can't get a pic of my actual clowns. But their symptoms look similar to this clown, but with the addition of tattered fins and cloudy eyes.
  2. Ok, i'm thinking they actually have Brook now, again, because their skin looks like its sloughing off, fins are tattering, cloudy eyes, rapid breathing. And they only seem a little better (swimming/breathing) right after i do a Formalin bath (which really doesn't phase them even for a 60min dip). Showing that Cu is not doing anything, as it shouldn't if its Brook. I also added Marcyn-Oxy yesterday as a preventative.
  3. They've been in the system for about 3 weeks, and the only ones to show signs, except for fish that were in that exact tank and came in contact with them.
  4. Im pretty sure its velvet as they first had tiny yellow/orange dots, then disappeared, followed by heavy breathing, then white powder dusting (not big like Ich). I forgot to add that they have been in hypo for the past few days as well. Either way, they are now being treated with cupramine which would kill velvet or brook. My only concern is having to treat 250+ fish that were in a connected system, though none show any signs or symptoms that they caught it too, but i'm pretty sure that they could at anytime since the disease can travel, right. Would you catch and treat that many fish if nothing pointed to them being ill, including breeding pairs???
  5. Well, To my dismay, i think my new Latz clowns brought me a case of marine velvet :( and of course, being that i am in an apartment and don't have too much space i did not QT them (definitely a poor decision, looking back). Well, i setup a 10gal and a 30gal for Cu Treatment, 10gal for the Latz and the 30gal for all the other fish in my display (though the Latz are the only ones that show symptoms, i read that it is motile and infects all fish in a system) So, now the Latz are being treated and a sailfin that i was able to catch, but i cant catch the rest. I have 2 chromis, my B&W adult Occelaris (which i really don't want to treat, but i need the tank fallow for at least 8weeks), sixline, and yellow coris. Any suggestions on the chromis as they are the hardest to catch? I thought it was Brooklynellosis at first and did 3 Formalin baths over the past week but no change except they're alive (Latz). Again no other fish show symptoms, but I have 3 tanks plumbed together so it definitely could have traveled. Doing some further reading and lack of effectiveness of the formalin i've come to the conclusion that it's marine velvet. Any suggestions would be great! Also, my snowflakes and batch of B&W juvi's are plumbed into the same system as well. So, i'm guessing i need to treat them too :( I need more space!!! -Anthony
  6. I've got 500 in a 40gal, no problems there -Anthony
  7. That's it, thanks!
  8. Where is that? I tried some other places, but they only carry thermal pastes, not permanent epoxies. -Anthony
  9. Hey everyone, I ran out of thermal adhesive while hooking up my leds and I don't want to have to order just that. So if you have some, I needed to hook up about 8 more leds that would be great! -Anthony
  10. Anytime Matt, good luck and keep us posted!!! -Anthony

  14. Send me a PM -Anthony
  15. lol, its definitely true though
  16. You should have told me you wanted misbars, because i have one or two. Misbars are just clowns that didn't receive enough nutrition when they were raised, its not genetic like picasso's.
  17. I got it to work, 1 power supply into the EB8, then the RJ45 into the vs1 port. The only thing now is that i was only about to achieve 8v max, but that was actually more intensity then i need anyhow even at running 60%.
  18. I got it to work but every configuration i do i only get between 6-8v max. It dims using the 6v configuration, but i dont think i am using its full potential. i am using the green and white/blue wires from the RJ45.
  19. Oh man, i really wish i am just doing something simple wrong. :(
  20. Ok so have have the LED running now, without the 9v adapter. My only question is why am i getting 14v from the Apex vs1 connection to the ballast? Also, it still will not dim and i am using all the codes that i have found online??? Please help
  21. I have roti's if you need them. -Anthony
  22. So i tried hooking up my DIY LEDs to the Apex yesterday, but wasn't having any success. First, This is the list of equipment i am using: an RJ45 wire (ethernet cable) to connect to the v1/v2 port on the Apex, ELN 60-48D dimmable ballast, 12 LEDs, 9v power supply. Ok i have wired everything a few times and it worked (turned on/off), but never dimmed. It only worked when i added the 9v power supply, but i thought the v1/v2 port acted as a 0-10v power supply? Any how, i was following this guide: http://reeftech.webs.com/Apex%20New%20User%20Guide.pdf. Any quick an dirty diagrams would be really helpful right now as i'm not sure how to move forward. Thanks! -Anthony
  23. i never use plugs or glue, just shove them in a hole and watch them grow all over
  24. Break a little piece of the mille off and put it in that stop and see what happens, could be prime real estate! No idea about the cyphastrea, one coral i've never kept.
