  1. Thanks - yeah the Sobe is one of my fav's. I have a couple like that too where the color and growth isn't like others I've seen. Hope you had a good time in Florida! I gotta make it down that way some day.
  2. Not yet! Hurry up and wait - some things never change lol Yeah, I'm not sure how the guy came up with the name, but that is it I have some kick butt zoa's that fit the name perfectly though I lost a bunch of SPS and all my clams when my heater broke, it opened up some space for this other stuff to grow out though, which was welcoming in a way.
  3. Purple Monster WM Smiley - till I check the bottom Tyree Pink WM
  4. Some pictures I added to a controversial thread on R2R - figured I'd add them to my tank thread Sikryd's True Orenji BGM SOBE Jokers Wild PNOY Watermelon Cornbreds ME Rotten Watermelon - not really a WM Florida Gator I have to check the bottom of these for the names later on - ME I picked up at MACNA - super high light for growth - sick in low light
  5. +1 I was surprised she put it up for that much! She also said she had a few people offer her $3000 for it before when she had it up for $5000. I wondered why she didn't just pm them and say it is up for grabs. PROBABLY because no one offered her that much
  6. +1 to what Jon said below. With a controller, it tells you if the power goes out. AFAIK - the controller and router don't have to be on a UPS. I'll have to test that though and see what happens if I shut the breaker off to the controller and the router and see what happens.
  7. Looking good Rob - I was thinking of using those LED bulbs in the basement till I saw the price tag of $68 ea!
  8. I just got done cruisin' around the neighborhood and going to the store. It isn't too bad if you have 4wd. Lots of cars stuck and people walking though.
  9. Dave - They're Samoyeds. They were looking at me like "How are we supposed to go poop in this! They love the snow, they finally were able to get out a little bit and go play in it. Then they just lay down and start eating it when they get tired. Good times cleaning this stuff out. Thankfully I have 4 wheel drive and can get through it. Hopefully they'll plow the street and I'll be good to go if I have to go somewhere, like the hospital
  10. If Sierra decides to come anytime soon, she'll be riding in a Big Red Firetruck 2ft or so of snow. I dug the truck out and flattened all the snow to the road so when they plow I'll be able to get out. Till then......
  11. I guess wrap the tank with as many blankets to keep them warm. There is more oxygen in the water if you just leave them in the tank. Good luck - I hope it comes back on soon for you.
  12. I wish the basement is done, I miss having a fireplace. I had one in S. California growing up for pete's sake. Nothing like the ambiance of a fire, even if you don't need the heat! lol I wish I could find my 30ft. tow strap. I know I could use it to help pull some people out. I think someone stole it from the back of my truck though :( its been there for a few years now. I think I used it 2x in N. Dakota in 5 years - and 10x here in one. People are a little more adept at driving in the stuff up there even when there is tons of snow.
  13. That isn't NEW, I saw posted yesterday as new. Sweet!
  14. 12" in Riviera Beach, MD Its the wet stuff so it'll compact!
  15. Thanks. Nice work on that guys site. The budget is already tapped though. I'll be lucky to get the tank and stuff done without saving up for a bit. Even doing the the work myself and being my own GM, it is still costing us ~$20k (with the furniture) - that's our savings from the last 3 years. So we'll see how it all comes together in home stretch here. We still have all kinds of art though. I am a pretty avid collector, so we always picked stuff up along our travels. Nothing fancy, mostly inexpensive, and a lot of stuff just done on the streets (like on the Venice boardwalk) then framed. The framing usually costs 10x the price of the art lol
  16. Glad to hear it - lmao about Chris!
  17. I hope it is doing good. Mine footed in the same rock and is all bubbled up. The clowns are probably bumbed their mansion went to a townhouse though lol I'm glad it is finally done. I was dreading taking it out and cutting it, its kind of a pain. I told him it is probably the same style, but hopefully it is better so I can get a frag from him down the road and retire mine if it is more colorful I'm always on the lookout for sweet nem's since I plan on always having one in the tank.
  18. That is crazy nice! Great pickup!
  19. I bought a pull start just to save a few bucks on something that would probably never work! lol My lawnmower worked the day we brought it home, that was about it. When Nikki was a puppy she chewed the cords
  20. This is the furniture we picked out - We'll see if the budget allows it here in a month or so lol I'll just wait on ordering the tank if we have to save up for a month or two. I'm in no hurry to get this new tank up and running. The boss wasn't down with the black and white stuff, or the nice wood (the pets will scratch it) So I had to compromise on this set. The color is better than the pictures. It is also super comfortable which surprised me.
  21. Here are some pictures that kind of show the bullnozed drywall (rounded corners) and the kind of "look" it is working towards. The double doors on the right side of the basement are 15 lite French Doors (storage area back there).
  22. Thanks! The tank is going to be a 200g Deep Dimension or equiv. (haven't decided to go custom or not 100% yet) - It'll be to the right of the stairs on the wall with all the outlet boxes (RODI, 2 x 20amp GFCI seperate circuits, and CAT 5 for the APEX) Everything will be underneath like I have my tank now. The idea is to have the tank and canopy to go from the floor to ceiling, with side panels to also cover the rear overflow part where the tank sticks out from the wall. Overall I am going for a real modern look with clean lines to match the rest of the decor.
  23. It could be. They change so much as they grow though. Mine gets a darker green oral disc as it gets bigger - and more along the tentacles. The tips also change to more of a bright yellow when it is bubbled up. Post some pics up!!! I love sweet looking anenomes.
  24. The primer is now on the walls, so on to trim this coming week. The wife sprung for a new skimmer for all the hard work Its been skimming old vinegar that I cleaned my vortecs with for the last week. I'm pulling the sump out tomorrow to put it in. I tried putting it in last week, but it is too big without pulling sump out from under the stand!
  25. I just fired up my generator today, and picked up some more gas for it. Just in-case....
