  1. WELL DONE! Looks wonderful, so glad you put in the effort (and that you shared the pictures). Can't wait to see what you add next. Maureen
  2. Doug, Very cool. M
  3. THANK YOU! And welcome to Wamas! Maureen
  4. Oh I hope you won't kill them. There are people here who are looking for donations for the Cancer center as well as several schools in addition to folks who would just enjoy having them in their tank if they're purple mushrooms. Please consider putting them out on the forum for sale/trade/free and hopefully you will get a positive response. Maureen
  5. Mike, Are we any closer to setting a place, date and time for "Giving for Grace"? Maureen
  6. Bob, Any chance we can get the presentation and pin it? Maureen
  7. Doug, You're awesome! Thanks. Maureen
  8. Niki, Very cool, congratulations! Keep us updated. Maureen
  9. Doug, Could you chat with Rascal and see if we could work a club event like "Giving for Gracie" out? Seems like many would like to help out in a big way. Maureen
  10. What about a "Giving for Gracie" Wamas event? We could select a day to meet at the hospital and bring a bunch of donations, help get everything set up/connected, etc and then go out for eats/drinks. Anyone interested? Maureen
  11. minus 3 for Lazars' - funeral that day. Would be great if someone could video speaker, post his presentation or both. Jon was really looking forward to this meeting, sorry we'll miss it.
  12. Lazar family (3) for Jon's birthday!
  13. This is a very "cool" idea...........seriously.
  14. Garrett, Would love to have you stop by sometime. Do you still have our phone number? This coming weekend kind of busy, but the following weekend might work. Let us know as we get closer. Great to see you back on the boards. Hope the move went really well and your new place is as awesome as the last! Maureen Thanks for tips everyone, very much appreciated. We'll let you know how things turn out. Yellow Coris Wrasse are one of my favorite fish so I will definitely consider adding to the tank. Doug, Since the housing market will keep us in this house longer I've decided I need to take steps to make me love it more. I've been looking at new flooring for the main floor for almost a year, but haven't had the courage to take the plunge as putting in engineered or real wood (which is my flooring of choice) continues to create additional challenges and scope creep. I need to find a knowledgeable person (not just a sales guy) to talk about heights of cabinets, base boards, whether wood can go over laminate, etc, etc, etc. If I can get past all these hurdles and find flooring at a great price (Lumber Liquidators seems good, but I'm leary of "seconds") and hire folks to install at a reasonable price with Jon and I helping I could like this place. Then its on to replacing the counters in the kitchen, a new sink, and possibly some cabinet changes. See........the project grows, and with the market the way it is I'm scared of putting in more $ than I can get out.................. TMI????? Sorry.............. you're still welcome with Jennifer any time you're down this way.
  15. Steve, Your tank looks awesome, really like the aquascaping. Maureen
  16. Now look what you've started Doug..................we're all waiting to hear when your tank tour is going to be so we can sample the cookie dough shakes and have some more awesome cookies!!! (and I'll bring the dip and Carla can bring the cake.............. but it will still be mostly about the tanks!) A new concept, tank tours and food tastings.............. I like it.
  17. Carla, It WAS the coconut and it was delicious! If it was the layered Mexican dip you're asking after...................that was me. Let me know and I'll pm assembly instructions (no cooking required). Maureen
  18. ps - whoever brought the 3 layered cake................it was amazing!!! So was all the food actually, thanks to all.
  19. Terry and Patti, You are awesome hosts, we had a lovely time. I once wrote that I thought your tank was my dream tank when I saw your dedicated tank thread. After seeing your set up in person, I'm sure it is. As a matter of fact I'm sure it is now the dream tank of everyone lucky enough to have stopped by today. You've set a new standard. The basement is a gorgeous set up (I'm sure there's some TV envy going on here too), but I'd just plant myself on the couch and stare at the 450g for hours and watch the fish. Kathryn loved the sea apple. Jon, of course, was also pretty wowed by your tank room set up. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and meeting up with folks, thanks so very much for having all of us. You are both such lovely folks and we look forward to seeing you soon. The drive home was a little longer than I thought it would be, but I have to say taking 15 home was gorgeous with the leaves changing colors on all the hills. Next time you have to come down our way and take a peak at our little tank......................
  20. We're really looking forward to seeing you (and the tanks) this afternoon! Dip is made. Terry - don't burn all the hot dogs........................ Let us know if you need anything last minute, we'll have one more chance to check for PMs before noon.
  21. Very cool Hillary. Keep us posted. M
  22. Terry & Patti, Lazar family will be coming and bringing a 9-layer dip. We'll be a little late (around 2ish) due to church commitments. Excited to finally see your amazing set up! Maureen
  23. Dave, Love what you're doing for the kids. Do you have a wish list of items you'd like for the tank? It would be neat if you would post.................... Maureen
  24. Luan67, thanks so much for posting after your visit! Rik, Awesome pictures and video clip. Thanks for sharing. Definitely on our list of places to visit soon. Maureen
  25. Surprised you didn't run into Jon and our son Chris, they were at air and space just a couple of hours ago. Can't wait for you to post video, thanks in advance. M
