  1. I get mine at Home Depot - they're usually with the extension cords.
  2. No more video games for gobies! They're so innocent-looking, but can be so evil at heart......
  3. Ah, but the "Joined" date on the profile is June 07. So which is correct?
  4. My sump is also a 29, and and had to wiggle it around a lot to get it in the top. Come to think of it, I did have to take the top center brace off then put it back after the sump was in (the horizontal brace, not the vertical). Forgot about that. Good to know I can knock out the side panels to get it back out if I have a problem - I've been worried knowing it wouldn't come back out without draining and removing the tank! Under my 90 I have exactly enough room for the 29 (granted it's a former wet/dry so maybe not the same dimensions as an AGA) and a 5g turned sideways for the topoff.
  5. I had to drop my sump in through the top of the stand before I filled my tank. That avoided the entire center brace issue.
  6. I'm careful not to have any lotion - hand lotion or sun block - on my skin when I need to put my hands in my tank. As a result I always seem to have dry, sunburned hands!
  7. The Aquarium Company has a sun coral right now. I got two from Sean, and to be honest rarely target feed yet they're doing great.
  8. Bulk Reef Supply has you mix both together for their "Two Part". Have to admit I don't know the use of each individually.
  9. Yea! Glad you found him and that he's ok.
  10. I'm going to tag along, since I just got an Aquapod and have been wondering the same thing!
  11. I also want to thank Johnny, his team and WAMAS for a fun event. I love getting the chance to put faces to screen names! Johnny, my new little cleaner wrasse has at least attempted to clean every other fish in the tank, and when it's feeding time he's in the front of the pack chowing on the prepared food. Great addition to my tank!
  12. I'll chime in: 90 gallon reef with 29 gallon sump and maybe 3 gallon HOB 30 gallon freshwater 10 gallon freshwater 2 gallon freshwater
  13. Well, I stopped by this evening to pick up some freshwater supplies and have to say that the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.
  14. Wow - $290 for a single dive! What an incredible dive, though, and lucky, lucky you! You'd better report back afterward!!
  15. When I picked up my nano tank from Jeff I came here looking for ideas, and was dismayed to find that even the old threads (there used to be a couple) were gone. Guess they expire?
  16. I was sure my McCosker wrasse was dead for the first week I had him - never once spotted him - and only saw him twice in the second week. By week three, though, he came out and is now front and center in the middle of the water column. I still go days without seeing the melanurus that I got about 2 weeks ago through the group buy, but then he'll pop out and cruise the tank again. Hope that makes you feel a little better - I believe most are supposed to be pretty shy at the start. The fact that they can bury themselves without a trace can make it impossible to spot them if they're hiding. Good luck with the dragon - they are cool looking fish. Have you figured out how to keep him out of your overflow yet?
  17. Are you sure that you don't have an elephant ear mushroom? I got a huge one from Antonio, and it has "branched polyps". It's different than the fuzzy mushroom that I have. Unfortunately I can't see pictures on this computer.... (Edited - my elephants actually do have dear mouths. I say elephants because the original has created a baby.....)
  18. The one I got from DaveS opens to around 6 inches. It's a terror, because every so often it opens wider than expected and any corals nearby had better watch out. One stung spot killed an entire porites. It is very cool, though. DaveS had mentioned that I could just cut it in half when I bought it.
  19. Chip (Flowerseller) was talking about doing a quick BZA group buy next week, in fact. What about the green and red that you get between the sand and the side of the tank? Most members' tanks I've seen have had that (as well as, um, mine). Natural, or an extension of the bad stuff you can get on the surface of the sand?
  20. Has anybody tried these just as they come - maybe just plug them in if a storm is forecast just in case?
  21. So instead of chicken pot pie just use your hand as bait!
  22. The plastic bag with a string method worked for me with the wily clown goby ... Good luck - damsels are fast!!
