Just curious with the battery backup's does anyone run their heater also? I serious need to invest in somesort of backup for my tanks. Looking at running powerheads or airpumps and possibly the heater also.

Just guessing but, prob due to the release of more co2.

I believe the reason for adding to the protien skimmer is that the microbubbles would help with the co2 break down from the effluent. I've heard of someone else adding it into their fuge.

Pretty much sounds like you didnt do any research. your nitrates are too high to be adding any livestock. Get your tank straight out first. Just because the puffer is small now doesnt mean thats its ok to put him in a twelve gal tank. Research what u want to stock first and get your water parameters in check, What kind of water are u using.

Can u access your router to setup port forwarding? thats what I had to do.

I would get the start, all you have to do is add ro/di water and the premeasure kit to a 1gal jug and your set.

Use api kits and never had a problem. Interested that once again AWT testing has issue with their tests.

+1 for the link to the hurricane filter overflow box. works great and breaks a siphon if power failure and will pick it back up again. You just have to clean the overflow once in awhile.

did you clean them with distilled water before and after cal. I would get some 7ph and try it again.

Sorry to hijack, but this helps me alot I have a ACjr running on my 26 with sps and now I will start to use Kalk in my ATO. I have it set to run at night only and have a ph probe to monitor. Tks for the info guys. So i should try 1-2 tsps in 2gal and see how it goes?

i was looking at your stock list, any clams available?

how do you have the hot water plumbed in? I know running direct hot water to the unit will mess the ro membrane up.

Update got my custom sump/fuge up and running today. I only had one minor leak to fix. Overflow is hard plumbed with PVC and has a union and ball valve in it. Return is tubing with a ball valve and SCWD to two u-tube returns. It was a tight fit with the skimmer. Here's some cloudy pics: Oh and got the float switches and controller installed for the ATO, just need to get a container for it.

Drew I got it working for two different tanks, I just had to refresh and sign out and sign back on. i was able to enter the test results and see a chart of each.
