  1. Several perfect homes for him. You can choose.
  2. I find that hobby grade test kits are difficult to trust. All you can hope for is consistant inaccuracy. For example, if your tank looks it's best when your #s are testing 380 ppm CA, 8 DKH and 1200 ppm Mg, then stick with it. Bad news on ATM, they aren't even consistant. We gave 2 water samples that were actually the same water... wildly different results.
  3. Bob, I've got the perfect home for him!
  4. I did that once in a nano tank. Customer wanted to see / feed fish in AM and PM, it was never a problem for the fish or corals. Have no idea the impact on you coraks.
  5. I should clarify... Choose or take em all, whatever! Dave, Doug has been to the shop. We are at 11141 Lee Highway in Fairfax. very close to 50 / 29 intersection, and near 7100, 123, 66... pretty easy to get to. SURE we got pumps. You mentioned a 90, got one of those too, RR with a black pine stand. I think I have a little ETSS downdraft that would work great for a 90 in sump and a deltec HOB if you don't have a sump. Mornings 9:30ish and afternoons 4:30ish are best times to find me at the shop, but Wed and Thursday this week will be a bit more flexible. Phil
  6. Nope, choose away. We have no plans for any of them. If you are doing a sump, take the RR tank. Or come look and choose then. Some drilled 20h tanks that could be sealed and used as sumps and workable return pumps too. Some "clasic" but perfectly fine skimmers. PLEASE come shop in my used stuff bone yard!!!
  7. Doug, 55 Reef Ready with overfow or the one that is drilled on the back wall? I may have a 4ft dual t-5 fixture for you. Phil
  8. Dave / Anyone else with a school tank need. We have a few 55s sitting around. One drilled, one RR w/overflow and one with no holes. Piles of pumps, some out dated skimmers that work fine... a MH light or two. If you have other specific needs, let me know... the "used stuff pile" needs to be plundered. Phil
  9. the sicsse sicssse sicees... whatever. That pump u have with the mesh mod, those are notorious for restart issues if the mesh is too big. What is the configuration? Used on a skimmer?
  10. I met with Bret, he was very down to earth and easy to talk to. I spoke with him at the end of the last day at MACNA, after he had been talking nonstop for 3 days to hundreds of people, many of whom were less than kind to him. He believes, that he is doing something that ULTIMATELY (it is his place holder word, uses it more when a bit nervious, like some people say "um" or "ah") will help his business and the industry/hobby as a whole. I agree with him, and the notion that what we see on TV is not real... it is reality TV, with editing and drama built into it.
  11. Narrr! No BRK deligation this year :o(
  12. now it is the MJ1200 pro. Includes a propeller "mod" as an option, and still works fine for something like an auto top off.
  13. Got into the Biz. I really have not quit, but it leaves you looking for a new hobby... something to do for fun when work is done. On the upside, I like my work more !
  14. We have a customer interested in a 72g bow front for a custom installation. Can't reach Aqueon till Tuesday, which is the day I'd like to order the tank. I know the depth is 18 at the center, but what is the dept at the sided? 14"?? Overflow box is on the back left side of the tank, not in the corner, right? Thanks!!! Phil
  15. ARGH!!! Reef eScape Vrs The Pirate Koi!!! (sorry to 99.9% of you that don't get the inside joke.)
  16. How does BBS spawn Aptasia and Mojano? Better question how do you convert fish poop to BBS? We have access to lots of fish poop! Aptasia were a problem when we took over the account 2 years ago and now the tank we maintain at SI NMNH has a copperband in the exhibit and another in the sump. No aptasia have been seen in over a year abut they are both thriving. The bristletail / green filefish is a much hardier aptasia / AND MOJANO (SHHHHHhhhh) eater.
  17. Des Moines will never be De Sames!
  18. As a sponsor vendor (even if we are not on the above list) that is outstanding!!! Thanks WAMAS, what a great program!!!
