OK!

Back during this post I was talking about the difference weight wise in between an 80 and a 120, but running as a peninsula. That made people worried. Now I'd like to go back to running against the wall, which means I'd cover over 5 joists, but running a 170 gallon tank. Is this insane? Should I get an enginere out?

This is too funny. After more than a year, I'm just getting around to setting up the SCA 120 and using your nano as my inspiration. I drilled it to set it up as a peninsula two weeks ago and I probably would've swapped it for your 80. Build thread coming soon

Yeah, that's the way life works, isn't it?!

Well. Lots happening for me. I got let go from a job I worked at nearly a decade in late August.

I started a BBQ Pop Up Business.

Tank took a backseat for about 4 months.

Cleaned the glass, did a water change. It's doing pretty well all things considered.

Tanks still looks great! You must have the right sauce. Good luck w/ the BBQ biz. Is it a food truck? If so, my 'hood does food truck nights.

Glad the tank is well. Sorry about the job. Where's the BBQ business? If I'm in the area I'd gladly support your business.

Tanks look good. Wishing you all the luck with the new endeavor.

Thanks, it's been a lot of work, but it's super rewarding. I'm shocked about the tank still looking nice!

Must have, it's called KISS Sauce, lol.

It's a trailered offset, I've been overwhelmed with business locally, we'll see what happens in the new year months.

Sorry to hear about the job but it sounds like it's been for the better! I'll keep an eye out for the truck the next time I'm in DC.

The tank is looking great. I love that candy cane colony. It's so clean.

Thank you, we're making do over here.

That's my little frag tank. It's only 10 gallons, and I hardly touch it. The court jester goby is the only fish, and it's out all the time.

WOW. No idea I had let this lapse for so long. Everything is chugging along. For starters, I had the WWC crew stop by and take some videos of the tank. I was pretty embarrassed as a lot had dropped off from our initial talks to them showing up. It was a really fun time. If you have the time to watch it. No, I did not wear camo, that's Dr'd, lol:

Things just kind of are. If you watched the video, you can see that I've just let things naturally do it's stuff, I simply don't have the time to tinker, adjust, and even react when I have/identify problems. I'm grateful that I put as much stock into getting it setup properly as I did.

The only big change was I picked up a blue/purple Haddoni Anemone. For a guy that doesn't have time to watch a reef tank, I might have picked a difficult species, but it's been happier than a pig in mud. I was hoping my clowns might take to it, but they have not. The cardinal, however, has started hosting that instead of the Aussie Elegance.

I didn't feel like breaking out the DSLR, but as it turns out, iPhones are nearly there.

Anyways, if you're still here, thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed it more than I am able to these days!

That anemone is awesome! One day I would love to set up a clown and species specific anemone tank. Throw a big blue carpet and a red carpet together and a handful of wild-type ocellaris clowns.

Looks good, Isaac! Congrats on getting featured. Hope all is well.

I have always wanted one, I had a large carpet in the 22, I was worried about the overflow getting blocked though and sold it.

I'm a liar. The DSLR is still king.

thanks, gents! it’s auto pilot!

Slowly getting the tank cleaned up, looks a ton better without all the stuff cluttering the floor. I'm still working on it, but seeing the results almost immediately. I really need to trim back the slimer and mount it again somewhere else, with the few crashes along the way I lost a lot of my not green colors, the contrast is not as nice as it used to be. I do have a giant colony of cali tort that has been growing on my glass bottom that would color up nicely in the middle, but just don't have the space for it.

What I really need to do is cull everything back, like, a lot. I'm starting to understand why some of these old head reefers just dump buckets of trimmings away, dealing with people is hardest part of reefing, lol!

Anyways, enjoy, I'm starting to more and more!
