Hello everyone,

I currently have my 72" T5 light mounted from cables on the ceiling. The cables are going on 7 years old, and I'm scared they are going to rust off and break. What other mounting options do people recommend?

Should I buy a canopy and mount it to that?

Anyone know of someone that can make a canopy?

Thanks

Matt

I've done this with bent 3/4" conduit on a couple of tanks. It goes all the way to the floor in the back and is bolted to the stand in 2 places. Then you just need to decide how to attach your lights to it 903e8a351a524529114f5720f3bbbaca.jpg

Are they rusted? I have had mine over my tank for 3+ years and they don't show any signs of ever being wet.

It's never been wet, but it's definitely rusted.

That looks awesome!

How and where did you get them?

I bought the conduit at Lowe's and I have a bender at work. I'm sure you can find or borrow one within the WAMAS group.

I used T-Slot from 80/20.net but if your cables are rusted and your happy with how they are currently mounted I would just replace the cables.

How does this work?

Do you preorder the lengths?

Where did you get them made?

I bought the aluminum bar online and bent it myself.

That looks really nice! Very clean looking.
