Well this tank has been in the works for the past 2 months and I figure since everything is starting to come together I should get a build thread together.

Tank Specs:  30" x 26" x 22" Starphire.  I think the tank was made by A Miracles Aquariums.

Lighting: 250w 14k Phoenix Halide with reefbrites (Still need to order the reefbrites)

Controller: Apex

Skimmer: Bubble Magus Nac 5.5

Sump: Trigger Systems Ruby Cube 20

Return Pump: Jebao DC-6000 (Giving the 3rd gen a shot)

Heater: Eheim Jager 150w

Sump Light: Finnex Planted+ 24/7 freshwater LED

Plumbing: 2x 3/4 in return lines and 1.5 inch overflow

Planned fish:

Macropharyngodon Lapillus - Jewel Leopard Wrasse
Macropharyngodon Kuiteri - Kuiter's Leopard Wrasse
Macropharyngodon Vivienae
Macropharyngodon Choati - Choat's Red Leopard Wrasse
Macropharyngodon Geoffroyi - Potters Leopard Wrasse
Macropharyngodon Meleagris - Leopard Wrasse

Very nice

Looks nice, I really like the jebaos. Are you going to make a refugium in the sump too?

Yup I don't run tanks without a fuge. I don't like relying on chemical filtration.

Awesome idea for a wrasse sanctuary! Are you planning on getting a mystery wrasse as well?

I am for my 150g.

Well made some more progress on the tank last night.  I am thinking its looking pretty snazzy.

Nice! I like the DT, and the idea for the wrasse tank. Don't see very many dedicated tanks these days.

Plumbing is looking good, and nice sump. I always found it challenging running more than one tank at a time, are you planning on putting them together eventually?

I am going to keep them separate. I don't have room to plumb both my tanks together.

Do you use like a chiller for the halide

Nope no need. Just a 6 inch fan across the top and across the sump.

Is a fan necessary?

Is a fan necessary?

So a fan acts as a safty net for if the tank gets too warm. Then my Apex will kick on the fan and start evaporating water to cool the tank.

Nice organization. I'll have to stop by and take a look.
